Q & A
What is the main feature of the Hazardous Propulsion exotic for Titans?
-Hazardous Propulsion gives Titans the ability to load kinetic exodus rockets through precision hits or final blows, which can be fired using their class ability. Hitting targets with these rockets can provide a temporary damage boost to rocket damage.
How does the damage output of Hazardous Propulsion's rockets compare in expert Nightfall?
-In an expert Nightfall, the damage from Hazardous Propulsion's rockets is not enough to one-shot a champion, but it does more than half damage, which the player found to be not too bad.
What is the effect of stacking all rockets in Hazardous Propulsion and using them on an Overload?
-Stacking all rockets and using them on an Overload results in a stun and does slightly more than half damage, which the player found to be a decent amount of damage output.
How does the Wishful Ignorance exotic enhance the Banner Titan's abilities?
-Wishful Ignorance provides an additional Frenzied Blade charge, increasing the total to four charges. It also increases the damage of Frenzied Blade and Flechette Storm with each strike and provides melee energy from Banner of War when healing allies.
What is the main concern regarding the Mataiodoxia exotic for Warlocks?
-The main concern with Mataiodoxia was the need to use multiple charges to achieve the suspend effect. However, it was clarified that a single arcane needle hitting an enemy is enough to cause a suspending detonation upon the enemy's death.
How does the Speaker's Sight exotic function in terms of support for Warlocks?
-Speaker's Sight allows healing grenades to spawn a healing turret that provides Cure and Restoration x2 for a total of 5 shots. Additionally, it sometimes spawns an orb of power when healing allies.
What is the effect of the Gifted Conviction exotic on Hunter's Arc aspects?
-Gifted Conviction modifies the uppercut Arc aspects, such as Ascension and Tempest Strike, to throw bouncing explosives that jolt and damage enemies. Jolting nearby enemies also grants the user damage resistance.
How does the Balance of Power exotic enhance the Threaded Specter ability?
-Balance of Power increases the duration and durability of Threaded Specter, generates more Threadlings when damaged, and in PvP, it allows the user to remain off the radar while near the specter.
What is the player's initial impression of the Gifted Conviction exotic in PvP?
-The player was underwhelmed by Gifted Conviction in PvP, as the explosives' damage seemed minimal and primarily served to apply jolt to targets.
What is the player's strategy for testing the exotics in the script?
-The player tests the exotics in various game modes such as expert Nightfall, Legend Onslaught, and PvP scenarios to evaluate their performance and potential synergies with other abilities and fragments.
What is the player's final verdict on the exotics presented in the script?
-The player provides a balanced view, noting that while some exotics like Hazardous Propulsion and Wishful Ignorance seem promising, others like Gifted Conviction and Balance of Power might require more buildcrafting to be effective.
Outlines
🤖 Titan Exotic Armor Overview
The script begins with an introduction to the exotic armor for Titans from the upcoming event, 'The Final Shape'. The presenter admits to faking previous teasers and now presents actual gameplay footage. Hazardous Propulsion, an exotic armor piece, is discussed in detail. This armor gives Titans the ability to fire kinetic rockets with their class ability, with a high chance of loading rockets on precision hits or final blows. The rockets can deal significant damage, especially when all hit, providing a temporary 35% boost to rocket damage. The presenter also discusses the synergy with Drengr's Lash for added control and the potential for this exotic in raids and PvP, although its effectiveness in team play is questioned.
🔮 Warlock Exotic Armor and Support Mechanics
Moving on to Warlocks, the script discusses the exotic armor piece Mataiodoxia, also known as the Arcane Needle. It clarifies that just one needle hitting an enemy is enough to cause a suspending detonation upon the enemy's death, with multiple needles triggering an immediate, larger suspend. The armor also provides melee energy on kills and is effective against Barrier Champion shields. The exotic is seen as a potential addition to Prismatic Warlocks for its suspend capabilities. Speaker's Sight, another exotic, is introduced as a support piece that enhances healing grenades by spawning a turret and sometimes an orb of power when healing allies. The presenter expresses skepticism about the turret's utility without testing it in various scenarios.
🏹 Hunter Exotic Armor and PvP Potential
For Hunters, the script covers Gifted Conviction, an exotic that modifies Arc aspects to throw bouncing explosives which jolt and damage enemies. The explosives are mainly for applying the jolt status to targets, with the potential for chaining damage in groups. The presenter found the exotic underwhelming without specific build synergy. Balance of Power, based on Threaded Specter, is the final exotic discussed. It offers increased duration, durability, and additional Threadlings when damaged. In PvP, it provides stealth by only showing the specter on the radar. The presenter is unsure if this exotic will make a significant impact in the current meta but acknowledges its potential for PvP.

Transcripts
Hello everyone, I went to Bungie a couple of weeks ago, where I was invited to check out some stuff
from The Final Shape a little bit early. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the exotic armor
from the event that I got to play with. We did a little preview of the teasers a little while ago,
this is actual gameplay of them. Yes, this means that any preview videos that I made,
I FAKED IT. I LIED. I KNEW THE WHOLE TIME. Titans, you're up first. In the teaser, we
saw Hazardous Propulsion, an exotic that gives you class ability rockets. It actually works like so:
weapon precision hits or final blows have a chance to load a kinetic exodus rocket,
the chance is relatively high. Class ability fires the rockets. Then,
depending on how many rockets hit targets, you will get a damage boost to rocket damage
for a short duration. I didn't get to test many variations, but hitting with all rockets gave me,
I believe, a 35% boost in my rocket damage for the duration. The text description is a little weird,
it'll say Enhanced Rockets x6, I thought initially this meant like... you know how Explosive Light
has x6 and then it ticks down based on the rockets you used? x5, x4, etc? This doesn't,
which tells me that x6 is the strength of the buff you receive? I'm not 100% on it, maybe someone
else was able to get that exact data point. The main data point I was trying to hunt down was:
is this effect even good? Are the rockets doing ANY damage at all? Let's find out.
I step into an expert Nightfall, 15 levels under, I stack up my exodus rockets to the max,
I stun the Overload and fire the rockets. And its damage is... not too bad. It's not
one shotting a champ at this level, but it's doing slightly more than half damage. I've
comboed this with Drengr's Lash to provide a suspend on the target as well for more control,
even though the target is already stunned. Where I see this faltering a bit more is
outside of solo play, where you aren't able to charge up your rockets as often as you can by
yourself. That being said, you're probably gonna try to use this in specific situations: either
taking down 1 big dude or a lot of smaller ones and that's not a constant occurrence in the game,
giving it some more viability. I used Abeyant Leap for the good part of a year and all that
did was suspend a few more enemies, this isn't exactly too far off from that, so we'll see.
With this boosting your rocket damage by 35%, this also has some room to shine in the raiding scene,
once we determine what stacks with what and does this stack with this and this and all that,
but 35% rocket damage for 10 seconds is quite a long time if it does end
up stacking with a lot of other things. In PvP, it wasn't possible to kill someone with
6 rockets outright, so don't think you're gonna go around instagibbing people with your wall. For me,
it was a bit of a challenge to even get to 6 stacks and ALSO use the rockets in a way
that won me the fight, I got it to happen a couple of times, but that was about it.
The OTHER exotic, as IF Banner Titans didn't have it good already, is a Strand based exotic called
Wishful Ignorance. You gain an additional Frenzied Blade charge, now that's 4 charges, AND Frenzied
Blade and Flechette Storm briefly increase their damage with each strike. AND pulses from Banner
of War feed you melee energy based on the number of allies healed. Synthoceps got nerfed, Banner of
War got nerfed, and now I'm starting to see why. I really don't have a ton to say on this exotic
because I think we know how good Banner Titan is, even with its upcoming nerfs, and all this exotic
does is juice up Banner Titan. Unfortunately, I didn't get exact damage values for Frenzied Blade
as I played this in patrol and there were NOT many patrol enemies that could survive 4 Frenzied Blade
attacks or a huge batch of Storm attacks, but for what it's worth, my swings on this boss enemy go
from the mid 20,000s to the mid 50,000s. I think that's incomplete data, I don't think that's the
best representation of the numbers because my Flechette Storm example shows a much smaller
increase in damage, going from around 9,500 to 13,000 per hit, which is more in line with
what I was expecting. The bump in melee energy isn't anything insane when you're by yourself,
unfortunately I didn't get to test any sort of group content or higher difficulty content with
these gloves, but like... we all know what's up. These gloves have a pretty high chance of being
stapled to your hands if you're a Banner Titan. Warlocks, you're up next, let's talk Mataiodoxia.
This is the Arcane Needle exotic where people were a little apprehensive because it seemed
like you needed to use a lot of charges to get the suspend, so let's clarify that.
1 needle hitting an enemy will cause that enemy to provide a suspending detonation when killed.
Landing multiple will immediately trigger that suspend detonation and it'll be bigger.
Killing suspended targets gives melee energy AND your arcane needles are effective vs. Barrier
Champion shields. It'll also mark targets that you've hit with arcane needle so you
can keep track, which I thought was nice. So, a bit better than I originally was
anticipating and to reiterate: while this will be good for Strand purists,
I think a big part of this exotic is to give suspend to Prismatic Warlocks,
which they don't have access to otherwise. The melee energy from killing a suspended
target isn't anything too insane per kill, it's your ability to rack up a LOT of suspend kills
that's gonna make your break your experience with this exotic. Given how good Prismatic
felt to me during gameplay, both in the legend campaign and outside of it, I could see this
getting some use if you build into it with your fragments. On Strand on its own, Warlock already
has very good suspend potential, but further increasing your potential never hurt anyone.
Also, Prismatic has fragments that boost your ability to gain Transcendence energy and one of
them will boost your Light Transcendence when you kill targets that have stasis or strand debuffs,
so there is some buildcrafting to be done. I talk a bit more about Prismatic in an upcoming video.
Otherwise, not too many numbers or percentages to really discuss here, so we'll move to the next.
Speaker's Sight is a support exotic, where your healing grenades spawn a healing turret and
healing allies sometimes spawns an orb of power. You'll get a total of 5 healing turret shots which
provide Cure and Restoration x2, so that's not too bad. One thing that I didn't test was whether
or not you can use it like a regular healing grenade and still have the turret be around. Like,
normally, you Lonely Island that thing and then you land on it or run into it and it consumes
it. I didn't check to see if you could do that AND still have the turret part. My guess would be yes
because otherwise any sort of accidental touching of the grenade just entirely defeats the purpose,
but the point of the exotic is to maybe throw the grenade somewhere and just let it do its
thing and you not have to worry about it, so I dunno. I also dunno if I'm fully investing
my exotic into a healing turret, maybe there will be situations where it's super helpful,
I'm not sure, but I remain skeptical for now. Hunters, we have your exotics, let's
look at Gifted Conviction first. Your uppercut Arc aspects, so the new one,
Ascension, and Tempest Strike throw bouncing explosives that jolt and damage AND jolting
nearby enemies gives you damage resistance. I hopped into a Legend Onslaught to really give
this thing a spin and I was very underwhelmed. The damage on those explosives is basically only there
to apply joly to targets and you should think of this thing as an AOE jolt more than anything
else. The explosives feel like they do nothing, although this first wave is servitors which
have a lot of health, against dregs it's a bit more noticeable. I could see a world where mass
applying jolt is good and you're just chaining damage everywhere, especially in a group setting,
but I'm not the most enticed by this option right now. I didn't do any sort of double stacking of
Tempest Strike AND the new aspect though, which is where you could get more potency out of this
exotic. The new aspect also auto gives you amplified and there are a couple of fragments
of prismatic that give you bonuses based on having a light element buff like Amplified,
so synergy is possible. I'll have a bit more to say in another video about Prismatic, but just
looking at this exotic purely in a vacuum, it does feel a bit underwhelming without a significant
amount of buildcrafting put into it. Once you do that though, it might have more to offer.
Balance of Power is our final exotic, based on Threaded Specter. I didn't do too much
theorycrafting on this one simply because all it does is buff Threaded Specter. Increased duration,
durability, more Threadlings when damaged. There's a PvP part built in too: while near the specter,
you do not appear on the radar, so it'll just be the specter on the radar, not both of you.
Threaded Specter is actually not the worst PvE option in the world, but considering the tools
Hunters have available to them right now, putting my entire exotic into this does not
seem worth it. PvP on the other hand, I know that we had that time period of triple strand
Hunter threadling spam. It's not around as much anymore; do I see it making any kind of a comeback
because of these? To be determined, I suppose. That's your breakdown of exotic armor coming
in Final Shape. I also have a video on the weapons that's live right now if you wanna
go check it out, it's linked here and the description. I'll have another pre-release
video coming out very soon too. Thanks for watching and I'll see you at the other video.
