Outlines
π« Stranded in the Desert with a Flat Tire
The video begins with the narrator counting camels and expressing surprise, followed by a serious problem that leaves them potentially stranded in the desert. The narrator is unsure of how to resolve the situation and considers their options, which include using an air compressor to inflate the tire. The video then provides background on their road trip through Oman in a rented Unimog, the adventures they've had, and the current predicament of having a deflated tire in a remote dune with limited resources and cell service. Despite the dire situation, they attempt to inflate the tire with an air compressor, only to find that the tire has a massive gap, making it impossible to hold air.
π¨ Unconventional Desert Repair Attempts
The narrator discusses their lack of tools and resources, such as a jack, to change the flat tire and considers digging a hole under the tire to lift it off the ground and reinflate it. Despite the precariousness of the situation, they attempt this method, only to have the vehicle shift and leak oil, complicating matters further. The narrator contemplates other options, such as walking across the desert to find help or digging out the other front tire to relieve pressure on the flat one. The situation intensifies as they grapple with feelings of isolation and the realization that they may be stranded for an extended period.
π€ Unexpected Help from a Local
In a twist of fate, a local named Ali appears and offers assistance. He quickly assesses the situation and, with determination, helps the stranded travelers find a solution. Ali devises a plan to use bags of camel feed to lift the vehicle's axle, allowing them to remove the flat tire and replace it with the spare. His efforts are successful, and within a short time, the tire is changed. The travelers express their gratitude and are touched by the kindness and generosity of the Omani people, especially during Ramadan when Ali has not eaten or drunk anything since sunrise.
πͺ Visiting Local Market and Fort in Niswa
The travelers continue their journey, visiting the oldest market in Niswa and a historic fort. They indulge in the local culture, purchasing fresh produce and handmade pottery, and experience the rich scents of the market. They also create a unique dish, 'guaca heini,' a fusion of guacamole and Middle Eastern flavors using tahini. The fort visit reveals its historical significance and unique architectural features, such as 'murder holes' designed for defense. The day ends with the travelers searching for a campsite, leading them to an abandoned city and a narrow gravel road with boulders, culminating in a beautiful campsite with a stunning view.
π Waking Up to the Grand Canyon of Arabia
The video concludes with the travelers waking up to a breathtaking view at the rim of the Grand Canyon of Arabia. They reminisce about the highlights of their trip, including the various campsites and experiences they've had. The travelers express their gratitude for the opportunity to borrow the Unimog from Freedom Overland and recommend others to explore Oman, especially with the right vehicle. The video ends on a humorous note with a brave goat attempting to enter their camper, providing a light-hearted conclusion to their adventure.

I can see 1 2 3 4 five camels I have
never seen that before in my life
[Music]
we have woken up with a massive problem
that in all seriousness May mean that
we're stuck in the desert and I'm not
being overd dramatic I don't know how
I'm going to fix it and if I don't fix
it we genuinely cannot leave for a few
minutes I'm going to pretend like this
problem doesn't exist and I'm going to
enjoy my
[Music]
coffee while we are caffeinating and
enjoying this beautiful morning ignoring
our problems let me fill you in on how
we got here in the first place it's
currently day 8 of our bucketless road
trip through the incredible country of
Oman we rented this epic custombuilt
Unimog in Dubai and drove it over the
Border here to Oman where we've spent
the last week exploring the incredible
natural beauty of this special country
and what an adventure it has been we're
picking up a
hitchhiker I'm not really sure where
we're taking him yesterday we aired down
our tires left the pavement behind and
drove 3 hours into the middle of the
desert with the goal of camping
completely alone in these expansive
Dunes we pushed the Unimog and my heart
rate to its limits in order to camp on
top of the tallest Dune for Miles once
we safely arrived we celebrated how
amazing it felt to be completely alone
in such a remote place I don't know if
I've ever seen Nate this excited this is
what van life dreams are made of but now
our plan has completely backfired on us
all right let me show you what's going
on last night in the middle of the night
we heard the sound that we thought was a
dying animal it was right outside of our
window and it was
going which was our entire Tire
deflating it's come off of the rim
there's this massive Gap like I can
stick my hand up inside of the tire and
I'm pretty sure that it's tubless we
have an air compressor on board so I
could attempt to blow it back up but I'm
pretty sure that all of the air is just
going to leak out of that massive Gap
like at this point I don't even have an
idea of how to fix this we do have a
spare tire on the back but if you missed
the first couple episodes we rent it
this Unimog we don't own this I don't
think there's a jack I don't even think
I have the right tools to take the spare
tire off of the back and even if I could
take the spare tire off of the back I
don't know how we lift up the Unimog
especially in the sand I mean I am 95%
sure it's not going to work but I'm
going to try to blow it back up because
that's literally the only thing I can
think to do right
now you see what I mean car's like can't
we just blow it back up I just can't
help it laugh I me we're just so
helpless how is this going to hold air
the other thing that adds another layer
of difficulty to this is that we have
the tiniest amount of cell phone service
so we can't Google anything for
Solutions and we might be able to make a
phone call or send a text which could be
what saves us I think if we could lift
the car with what then it might like set
back on the rim enough for us to blow it
back up the good news is we bought
enough water to hydrate an army
yesterday and we have at least a week's
worth of food could be worse I've got a
little backpack fill that with food and
water we can walk out call the rental
company tell them that their Unimog
sitting in the desert if they want to
back this is filling up the air
compressor that sits underneath the
truck I don't think this is going to
work but again it's the only thing that
I can think to try right now
as expected all the air is just coming
out of this massive Gap in the tire um I
have no idea what to do in this
situation or how to help so I'm just
going to wash all of our dirty dishes
from last night and wait for Nate to ask
me for
help it's just comical that we found
ourselves this situation all right Plan
B so I've been thinking is the desert as
our enemy but I think it might be our
friend considering that we have no Jack
and we have no way to raise up the truck
anyway I'm thinking if I can dig a hole
deep enough underneath the tire and get
it off the ground then that may allow us
to get the tire shifted back to the
right place where we can reinflated it
if I can get a hole deep enough dug out
and find the right tool in here to take
the spare tire off the back we may just
be able to replace the tire there's a
chance we're going to be able to do this
on our own
[Music]
that pretty good camel
noise I'm feeling really good about this
right now if I'm being honest I think I
feel just good that there's some hope
you know surely it's not going to tip if
I just dig out this tire right surely
[Music]
not I'm getting under there fast
actually oh the whole car just shifted
did you hear that yeah I mean it it's
leeding
a lot oh man I'm sure if you know
something about cars you're probably
screaming at the camera right now like
don't keep digging it's going to flip
but we can't ask the internet as far as
us being able to save ourselves this is
definitely the only option okay it's not
off the ground yet but I do just keep
feeling like it's going to flip it any
minute and the further I dig the more it
leans this
way that kind of sounds like it's
holding air if this works it's awfully
quiet oh you know what what it might not
be holding air that might have just been
the compressor running out of air so it
sounded like it was holding
air got to let it fill up right
[Applause]
[Music]
now all right at this point we are down
to desperate op
I think we have two I can walk across
the desert there's a camp way out there
on the other side of the valley but I
feel like the chances of a small desert
Camp having a jack that can lift a 5 ton
Unimog feel like those are pretty slim
the other option is to dig out the other
front tire until the front axle is
resting on the sand then that would
allow me to finally dig out underneath
the flat tire to take all the pressure
off it and potentially be able to reinl
it but that's not guaranteed sounds good
does it
I have no idea I've never been stranded
in the desert before I don't know what
the right decision
is all right I'm second guessing my
decision because now that I'm looking at
it those little bars hang down further
than the axle I'm scared the weight
would rest on those bars and they would
break and then we would be in even
bigger trouble
[Music]
at this point we were really feeling the
weight of just how isolated and Stranded
we were I mean look our 5ton truck looks
like a pebble and a sandbox right now up
until this point we really were both
feeling optimistic and I would even dare
to say that this challenge was kind of
fun I don't know where he's going he
just got out and started walking but
after failing at plans a b and c As I
lie here with no internet and nothing El
to do but think the unknown of just how
long we could be stuck here was
beginning to set it should I be
rationing our food and water is it
foolish to wander out on foot looking
for help should we stay together and
both venture out into the
wild just as I was starting to think
that this wasn't fun anymore we saw
something in the distance and it wasn't
a camel wow he's just coming straight
over the man to save us thank you for
stopping Hi how are you what's your name
Ali Ali yeah Nate Nate welcome Nate
thank you Jake no no Jack you Jake I
know you you he is come back here or the
guide come back here no just me you
yeah you need come back
more I'm Cara hi welcome K thank you wow
Ali came out of nowhere and he wasn't
wasting any time within seconds of
pulling up he had already assessed the
situation changed his clothes and was on
his back covered in sand determined to
help us find a solution who is this guy
okay come back me in the car a little
bit here uh
[Music]
why I have no idea what's going on but
he looks
confident so believe it or not there are
people driving around out here at the
and our new friend Ali drove by and has
offered to help his plan involves not
having the tire in a big hole so we've
just backed it out but I think he now
sees the problem that I saw this morning
back to square
one more I don't know what the plan is
but I like
it all right so it's the same strategy
but Ali had two bags of camel feed in
the back of his car so we put the two
bags underneath the axle which means
that that'll catch first and the car
won't tip and we should be able to take
the wait off the tire feed you
huh it's working oh I see
yeah no no no outside yeah I'd like to
make it clear that I'm very happy to
shovel but he has a very specific way
that he wants it
done he knows what he's doing it
literally already looks fixed I'd also
like to add that this took about 5
minutes hey don't add anything
feel like the Whistling noise is a good
thing because that means the gas getting
at least Fallen up and it can create a
whistle you no there's a juice
G
no
wow oh
what a gym he is our Guardian Angel
today our first trip to Oman the people
are what stood out to me the most just
how kind and welcoming and generous they
all were and since it's Ramadan I don't
feel like we've had the opportunity to
interact with as many locals on this
trip which has been kind of sad
but that's all I needed he is amazing we
ended up not being able to get the tire
to re-inflate we tried sticking a bunch
of plastic bags in there that didn't
work so the only option at this point
point is to change the spare tire for
the flat one so he just went back into
town to get a wrench to be able to take
the spare tire off and left us with the
bowl of dates which I read in a blog
post before we came that if you're
welcomed with dates and you say no it
can be rude so we took him he just yeah
casually gu was the best dat I've ever
had oh my gosh I just loved his energy
like he was just like you here he was so
confident I hope he comes back
last night we had Italian night I made
some pasta and we put all the leftovers
in a Ziploc bag and today for lunch
we're having cold pasta
[Music]
salad you have
sand all no laying under there like
trying to hold the back side of the tire
which is like a wind tunnel blowing it
into my eyeballs what a day the only
plans we had today were to drive further
into the desert and in a way I feel like
this is more fun we're going to remember
this day that's for sure sometimes
things don't go as planned actually let
me rephrase that in our life most of the
time things don't go as planned and the
world's kept spinning every time and
having a bad attitude just really
doesn't do much if it was a different
time of the month I could have been in a
different mood
[Music]
that's be sure to subscribe for more r
in content like this before we go any
further we need to say a big thank you
to today's sponsor which is surf shark
the first time we visited Oman back in
2018 we really wanted to do a camping
trip like this but at that time we
couldn't afford a car with a rooftop
tent so we are super grateful for how
much this Channel's grown and the
sponsors who have come alongside of us
to make all of these crazy Adventures
possible surf shark has been one of
those sponsors now for the last 3 years
and we are super grateful that they
continue to support this Channel and we
would appreciate it if it makes sense
for you to also support them if you
haven't been watching this channel for 3
years and you don't know what surf shark
is it is the best VPN on the internet
and a VPN stands for virtual private
Network and that allows you to encrypt
all the data sent between your computer
and the internet so that no one can
steal your sensitive information the
only thing that I can think of that
would be a bigger Fain than getting a
flat tire in the middle of the desert
would be getting my identity stolen and
having to go through the whole process
of canceling all of my credit cards and
then getting new ones because we have a
lot of those and then all the other
headaches that would come along with
that I would honestly rather be stuck in
the middle of the desert but VPN can be
used for more than just security it can
also be used to unlock content that
isn't available in your area so let's
say you're in Oman you're in a camper
and after it gets dark there's not a lot
to do and you want to watch Netflix but
your favorite show isn't available
because you're in another country a VPN
makes it super easy to change the
virtual location of your computer and
get access to a completely new content
Library I love inside jokes love to be a
part of one someday and if you don't
already have a VPN we obviously highly
recommend surf shark it is the only VPN
to offer one account for unlimited
devices plus if you use use our code Ken
Nate you can get an extra 4 months for
free and there's a 30-day money back
guarantee so there is no risk to try it
out to get started just click the link
in the description below or scan the QR
code here on the screen you came back
for us you found it three you have three
yeah theit here is okay yeah nice nice
Ali just spent the last 2 hours of his
life driving to and from the NST toown
just to help us he picked up not one but
three different wrenches hoping that one
of them would be the right side to get
our wheel off you do high
fives
nice woo you sleep in the desert yeah
no outside s
wow oh that feels like progress I'd just
like to point out that it's the middle
of the day so the Sun and heat are at an
alltime High plus due to Ramadan Ali
hasn't eaten or had a single sip of
water since the sun came up this morning
reminds me of football
practice he could have easily used these
as excuses to just keep driving past us
but here he is sweating and working so
hard to help two random people he had
never
met okay oh nice tight please the nuts
Lo teamwork it's teamwork if you
consider 9010 teamwork you are so
strong strong not to me strong
okay
alhamdulillah
nice woo 3 hours after Ali first arrived
we once again finally had four working
tires this man is a legend nice
he just randomly found us while on the
way to feed his camels but he selflessly
gave up his entire afternoon to help two
complete strangers let me go back one
more time no no no go I'm scared it'll
tip no no no go go no go
go we've experienced the beauty of Omani
Hospitality during both of our trips to
this amazing country but this took it to
the next level that was terrifying
driving full trust in the local all
that's left to do now is figure out how
to lift this super heavy flat tire back
onto the rack and of course Ali is
helping us do that
too there he goes our Angel
goodbye I was going to say we did it but
I'll did it ol the man the myth the
legend kind of felt like what I used to
work with my dad as a little kid I just
really just stood around and watched
after we fixed the tire he was about to
leave before I even said Thank you like
he wanted nothing in return we did pay
him we made him take the money and not
only did he not want anything but he
forced us to keep his date who knows how
long we could have been out here like a
tow truck can't come get us
OE thank you we run the bottom of our
hearts thank you Ali recommended for
some reason that we drive out of the
desert
now so it only felt Fair since he's the
one that got us unstuck that I listen to
his advice it was tempting to stay in
our epic spot one more night for sure
we have made it back to
civilization oh
go
graceful
goodbye see you thank you Ali was
waiting on us at the edge of the desert
to make sure we made it out okay I could
not believe my eyes when I saw his cute
smiling face just standing on the side
of the road waiting for us who knows how
long he's been standing there all right
we've got about 2 hours until the sun
sets obviously we decided not to stay in
the desert tonight tomorrow we're
visiting the only town that we have on
our itinerary which is the town of nisis
so we're just going to make it as close
to NIS as we can night and then we'll
have all day to export the town tomorrow
well everyone here is so
sweet they must all be like all
well we made it about halfway to Nisa we
just found a place on the side of the
road that kind of looks like Mars to
camp for the night first thing that I
have to do let's test out our shower I
don't know if you can see this but I
literally just have a layer of sand all
over my entire
body so we've been hanging out in the
desert all day the water tanks are black
so I didn't turn the water heater on I'm
guessing this isn't going to be ice
cold oh refreshing definitely a little
colder than I expect
it wow I am so glad we bought this thing
at the store before we left I still
think there's going to be sand in here
forever but this is definitely going to
help how cold is it scale of 1 to 10
which one's cold 10 is like polar plunge
oh it's like a seven it's pretty
comfortable oh wait wait seven is not a
very good score oh the other way that
it's a three okay good to know so Cara
and I were actually talking the other
day and we were saying if we lived in
this truck full time we'd want the
shower to be smaller because it takes up
a massive amount of room like I think I
would want it to be about half the size
but I have to say only living in here
for a week having the massive bathroom
to take that shower was so nice I think
that might be one reason we don't shower
more in our van it's just it's such a
small space and it's this really
uncomfortable process that was
wonderful great news this morning we
woke up with not three but four worky
tires it's the little things these days
we've made the majority of the drive
from ebra to niswa and we should be
there anymore
we have two things on the agenda while
we're here in NB first is to visit the
country's oldest Market or Suk like they
call them here and after that we're
going to visit a historic Fort which we
actually saw on the drive-in it looks
gigantic and pretty cool so I think
today is going to be very different from
any other day we've had no monster par
but I'm very excited let's go
shopping W I am so sad that we already
stocked up with all the food and drinks
that we need for pretty much the rest of
the trip because this is like the
world's best Supermarket so many fresh
fruit and veg all these like handmade
products I might have to get something
this is the purplest Cabbage I have ever
seen it looks like somebody took paint
to make it this do you have any idea how
many antioxidants are in this like I
keep waiting to see the purple it come
off on my hands because they
painted
no no it's okay banana a banana okay
I'll take a
b
oh where are you
going I don't think buying just one
cabbage is the thing here he didn't have
correct change so he's throwing in some
extra bananas oh it's the good little
ones
yes where's he
[Music]
next
oh my gosh it has been way too long
since I've been to a local market and I
want everything the problem is I don't
think pottery and my suitcase
really these cups are actually stunning
look at the shape of this mug and it's
so shiny oh gosh I could literally cry I
want it so bad I don't know what to do
believe it or not I really don't buy
that many souvenirs during our travels
the reason I love markets is just to
experience the people and the culture
and just the things that they make and
what they're good at and what they're
known for but a lot of times in the past
it feels like they've been taken over by
like touristy souvenirs and this look
definitely has its fair share of
touristy souvenirs but the pottery and
the mugs and the jewelry it feels very
authentic hi Kitty
Hello that was adorable and everything
just smells so good I wish I could
capture it through the screen they burn
these little like rock crystal looking
things on top of coal it's like an
incense smell and it's just
everywhere oh my
gosh
so I did end up buying a souvenir at the
market but it'll make more sense if I
wait till tonight to show you now before
we head over to the Fort I'm going to
make us some lunch something that I have
just created
I'm very excited about I call it gani
guacamole guaca heini I will be the
first person to say that guacamole needs
zero modifying however we've had it
every day for about 9 days in a row now
and I just wanted to make it a little
more Omani tasting in its simplest form
guaca heini is just avocado mix with
tahini I know the tahini gives it this
like nutty creamy consistency
ew maybe this one's
better I think there's
more that's better so normally now is
about the time that we would go in
search of a local meal we're actually
surrounded by amazing restaurants and
food trucks right now
however as it's Ramadan literally
everything is closed which is so sad but
it also makes it the perfect time to
explore them on by camper because we're
self-sufficient guaca heini step one
avocados obviously next you have your
salt pepper spicy if you're into that
lime or lemon and we hardly eat anything
without cilantro and his family so a
good chunk of that so far you might be
thinking this looks a lot like regular
guacamole and that's because it is but
just wait give it a good mix
ah oopsie okay now here's where we start
our Middle Eastern spin on things olive
oil yes
tahini I'm allowed to do this because
I'm not feeding anyone hey exate
obviously maybe like a tablespoon or two
depending on how many avos you used and
last but certainly not least the cherry
on top or the spice on top Zar this
beautiful mix of sesame seeds Thyme and
I honestly don't know what else and that
my friends is guaca heini no judgment if
you just eat it with a spoon I did do
that the other day it's even better if
you have Omani bread I'm pretty sure
here they just rip it off and dip it and
stuff I know I made this so I can't act
like it's like too delicious or that
might come off weird but you give it to
me I'll try I'm telling you inspiration
struck and it did not
disappoint I think it's the best batch
yet come on I'm just kidding it's
amazing thank you for joining today's
episode of cooking with Cara or Cara's
kitchen which one
[Music]
I did buy one other thing at the market
Omani coffee fit
check Omani coffee is a huge thing in
this country and we haven't been able to
experience it because once again
everything is closed so Amani coffee is
not just like coffee beans that were
grown in Oman it's coffee beans plus
cardamom and I believe if you other
spices it's a really spicy coffee Herby
Herby coffee oh of Mom I would just like
to point out
thato that's a big jump we have yet to
figure out how to lock the doors on the
Unimog meaning every time we leave we're
just leaving all of our stuff in there
unlocked and anywhere else that would
make me feel really uncomfortable but
there's just something about Oman I just
feel safe here wow look at that tire oh
ow I was just thinking I shouldn't have
said that cuz this is going to be the
time we come back to everything gone
okay so just to give you a little
reference for where we've been today
that's where we parked the car the
market is inside these walls and that's
the fort that we're going to now sorry
and I was filming that in the middle of
the road wow look at this massive for
scale it's huge so we've got a little
lost trying to find the entrance to the
Fortress but we've just stumbled down
this little Alleyway that is absolutely
beautiful w
at this Cafe and
it's this would have been the place for
coffee oh I can smell
it it's like kind of cool being here
while everything's closed like it really
feels like we just have the city to
ourselves K and I have both been
attracted to separate things so this is
a dagger which is part of the Omani
traditional dress so if men were
dressing up for a wedding or something
like that they would wear this backwards
j-shaped dagger in their belt which is
just like the coolest tradition ever
[Music]
ever okay we just walked in but my first
impression is that they have definitely
uh made some updates to the Fort since
500 years ago there's currently a
hashtag above one of the
entrances and a coffee shop I mean the
coffee shop is cool we're not really
into UNESCO world heritage sites as far
as like every place we visit we don't
have to take those off of our list but I
was reading that this fort actually
didn't qualify for UNESCO cuz it was
restored a little too well and now that
we're here I can see how the hashtag and
the coffee shop might have been a
turnoff for
UNESCO
wow this is a pretty cool experience I'm
literally all alone in this spt there
are two different calls to prayer
happening at the same time and it's just
echoing I feel like I've just been
transported back in time there's this
beautiful garden here in the middle so
all these birds are chirping too this is
incredible plus they're really cute
cat in addition to the Ford itself you
also get incredible views over the city
of niswa wow I had no idea how beautiful
it was here maybe this was the
gymnastics if this was 2018 we would be
getting some Banger Instagram photos
right now all right ready give it toy
[Music]
fun
fact back in the day to catch enemies
off guard in the dark passageway some of
the stairs had wooden planks that could
be removed to expose deep gaping pits
which were certain to put an end to
anyone unfortunate enough to fall in
them basically there were holes in the
stairs and when people were trying to
get in they get them so this is like a
diagram of the whole place and on this
sign they call them murder holes instead
of pit
then they even built these little
passageways where they could pour water
in case the Intruder lit a fire this guy
has some kind of hot melting wax he's
got that guy murtle hole number three
was the hot wax hole it's pretty crazy
we've actually toured quite a few
castles and stuff around Europe and this
is a unique design that I haven't seen
anywhere else in the world look this
guy's had enough he's getting out of
here he's like I did not expect the
murder
holes all right we leaving the fort and
we heading to find our camp spot for
tonight I hope we're not speaking too
early but we were just saying this this
has been a very different day so far
zero stress I don't think tonight is
going to be interesting but stay
tuned we' clearly left the pavement and
are driving towards this
insane abandoned city on the side of a
cliff we're just going to drive straight
into this Canyon and hope we can find a
nice private place AP par for the night
hi where are we
at this point I'm either looking for a
place to Camp or a place to uh turn
around yeah the road we were on just
kind of turned into this windy gravel
road with these gigantic Boulders on
either side super narrow water we really
weren't trying to have an adventure we
were just trying to find a place to
sleep for the
night wow that was impressive
that guy on the motorbike gave me
nightmares from the monkey run come
on that tree right there is actually
what's going to stop us from going any
further I think this is where we have to
turn
around woo we did not end up camping in
the canyon
tonight however after a long dark drive
up Mountain I believe we have found what
is going to be the best campsite of the
entire trip it's still yet to be
determined and we'll both find out in
the morning so it is a lot later than
expected which means you'll never guess
what we're having
yeah so that smell that I was smelling
at the market today and the guy who had
his little bowl and it was burning turns
out it's frankincense resin these are
the little crystals that he was burning
what is frankincense resin I don't even
know I think it's like the sap of a tree
feels and looks like a really cool rock
he said you just barely need to light
the charcoal for like just a second and
then it self burs I feel like this is
pretty much the same thing as the
lighter
boom any time I've never Light charcoal
before I'm scared just light it's not
going to go up there it's not like gas
that was hot Fire's
hot I'm scared you got
this you're an adult what just being an
adult have to do with
this oh gosh it's popping should I just
put it in there
now we wait oh my gosh it's already
going do you see it wow it's a lot
louder than I thought it would be oh I'm
so
happy think there's not a smoke detector
in here okay back to dinner now if
you've been following us for a while
you've probably heard of Cara's famous
peanut butter Ramen you can Google it
apparently however I've decided to om
monify this recipe should we crack a
window maybe two
windows so just in case you don't know
peanut butter Ramen in its simplest form
which I'm never simple is instant Ramen
with a scoop of peanut butter this trip
you guessed it tah heini and I'm telling
you it is just as good if not better
it's really not that complicated Nate
thinks I complicate things and it feels
what are all these things over here so
fancy well this is garnishes like you
know you never know it's these saying
most people add water you've got one two
three four five 6 seven eight nine extra
ingredients it's
simple just add some
greens garlic and green
onions and fill it up with water how
much better is that going to be use a
whole jar of tahini on this trip M and
the best part cantro
Bon thank you for my 10 ingredient
I just love food so much I can't help it
I can't help
it oh my gosh it's amazing I might like
the tahini more than peanut
butter I feel like peanut butter can
sometimes be a little overpowering I
think I just add too much and Tahini is
a little more subtle I may or may not be
up for sunrise
tomorrow so we need to quickly eat our
around and go to sleep so that tells you
how good the spot is I can't wait to
wake up that's if don't roll off the
cliff in the middle of the night don't
say that I put make sure rocks behind
them tired to make sure that wouldn't
happen see you in the
[Music]
morning good
[Music]
morning it's as good as I hope to it be
[Music]
thank
[Music]
you last night we were able to camp on
the rim of what they call the Grand
Canyon of Arabia and this morning we've
woken up to this view that's the edge
that's where it drops off it does not
get better
than this I'm glad we didn't slide off
the cliff l
[Music]
what really gave me some appreciation
was walking over here to the edge and if
you look there's a town way down there
in the valley and I could just see the
lights from that town so that gave me a
little bit of an idea of how high it
would be this morning also I did add a
little extra layer of security to make
sure we didn't roll
off this is kind of like the grand
finale of our trip today we start making
the long drive back to Dubai genuinely
can't believe it's over but it's one of
those things when I think back back to
day one it feels like a lifetime ago and
we have squeezed so much into 10 days
the fact that it's hard for me to say
that this is the best campsite we've had
the entire trip says a lot I thought
when we woke up on that flat Beach on
the first day it didn't get any better
than that but then there was the cliff
overlooking the bioluminescent Beach
that was definitely in the running for
best camp site that crazy Hill that we
climbed oh yeah part of me doing this
proba has to do with the fact that I
just don't know what I'm doing that is
so funny to think back on how scary we
thought that was I know that was nothing
and then yeah of course the dunes if I
had to narrow it down to a top three the
cliff overlooking the beach the dunes
and this campsite were by far the best
oh man is a really special place I hope
that you have seen that through these
videos we haven't even scratched the
surface there's so much we have to come
back for
including the food when it's not Ramadan
also I want to say a big thank you to
Freedom Overland for letting us borrow
their Unimog for a couple weeks they
don't usually rent this vehicle out to
people but they do have an amazing
Defender that you could bring over and
go around Oman I would highly recommend
doing that and we also learned that the
Yong is for
sale I
mean I am sticky and do weirdly have
sand in a lot of
places how is there sand around my
eyeballs this is the best setup for
throwing away garbage out of a camper
I've ever
had oh almost missed and he go five for
five oh my goodness he missed it ladies
and gentlemen he had it he had the game
winner and he blew it whale of various
good oh my gosh thought I was going to
kick the pole don't push me any harder
oh no don't going hit the
this is lovely wow this is really lovely
you should try
it wow wow someone is hungry hi buddy
this is a brave goat you trying to come
inside you can't come in oh but please
you can't come in I'm going to have to
shut the
door he is not taking no for an answer
too just waiting to see what happens
watch out watch out not scared at all oh
my gosh I am just alone on the side of
this mountain so I could get that video
and he's not even backing up for
me oh you didn't quite get down far
enough which one is mine this one's
mine try to steal my B water are you
doing this my new
toy oh get him oh oh I hit it don't hit
