trying to make a POPCORN movie theater in the sims 4

today we're building a movie theater in

The Sims oh yeah but it's made of

popcorn that's right it's what you've

been waiting for this is the finale of

food court o oh and did we mention that

we built it live a few days ago say hi

chat if you missed it we've been filling

up the entirety of Magnolia prominade

aka the food court with businesses

shaped like food

because because we wanted to that's why

you got your pancake Diner you got your

cake bakery and of course our latest

edition Pizza alley the hottest new bowl

in joint in town it was so freaking fun

release these like little objects that

you can merge together to create even

cuter little objects and then you sell

those objects to the local townies why

you may ask cuz Travel Town has been hit

by a terrible storm so it's up to us to

fix the town by rebuilding all these

adorable little shops and stalls and you

know how much we like building we love

it seriously travel town was like hey

can you guys be at level 11 so you can

participate in our special event and I

was like yeah totally totally sure I'll

have to work on that knowing full well

that your girl is at level 36 did you

say special event oh yeah the special

event do you like the Great British

baking show uh yes I do but you know

this we watch it every season together

just go with it I'm trying to get

somewhere yes I do that is good news

person I have never met before because

the Great British baking show is coming

to Travel Town wait that's actually so

cool I know this limited time special

baking event will not only have you

whipping up delicious treats but also

doing Special daily challenges with Paul

and Bre look at them in the game they're

adorable I'm going to get Star Baker

so when we're thinking popcorn y'all

ideally what we're going to be going for

is like a bucket shape I think that's

what we start with and we see how it

goes okay so we go with like the largest

Circle size of course we do because the

larger it is the worse the curve but I

don't want to do no we cannot do this

stop stacking when I think popcorn I

think like classic red and white right

yeah we have to do Stripes I think I

know a wallpaper okay I thought we would

really get it out of your system when we

did worst wallpapers but it only seems

seems to have encouraged you to put it

on even more things honestly looks

really good on the

circle just it do we have something that

has a strip yes oh

oh I had forgotten about the crown

molding which um that one's definite now

I keep thinking of things that we could

do but then we can't on regular walls

you could go white and then red like

iconic the problem with curved walls is

that it does the whole thing guys be so

for real how attached are to the curve

right now wouldn't you rather see a bag

wouldn't everyone yes yes yeah I if I

see one no it might go all downhill for

me I've got to be very clear with

everyone yeah I think that looks

approximately popcorn bucket size as

everybody knows Cara has a constant

running algorithm in her head of how

tall popcorn buckets are just go with a

bold red oh the Bolder the better if

we're going to do red I want it to be

punch me in the face red I agree a

scalloped top I've got a couple of

thoughts you have ideas on this yes when

since when since now this is what I was

thinking of you would need to sit down

you're tired hear me out just like make

this big and then like put it at the

edge kind of like that that looks so

sick there is popcorn and debug we're

just going to use the right bracket key

to size it up oh my gosh so big we

always have bb. move objects on which is

the cheat that lets you move things you

can hold alt on your keyboard and then

spin your mouse around and it'll let you

turn it to any direction you want that

thing to go just to give it like a

little variety so it doesn't look like

we just copy and pasted the same popcorn

piece which we did would it be cute to

have a couple of pieces that have kind

of like popped out no that's quite

cute that's enough popcorn let's go

ahead and settle on a door so what are

we thinking I feel like big glass is

definitely the vibe a ticket window ooh

that's a fun idea what do you think we

can make a popcorn piece that's like big

enough to be one oh soda cup to go with

the popcorn how do we not do that oh no

but like a square soda cup right okay

and then a second no no gasping yet do

not get them excited for this don't

worry I'm not going to do three St just

getting the platform she's making it

like a Super Gulp and then for the cup

it should

be I mean we're going with like a Red

and White theme so I'm thinking either

red or white right let's do red yeah I

think Red's more exciting there's no way

we can find a straw no I already know we

have one

no man y'all the cup was the right idea

that's really fun that was a good Vision

I do wonder if I want to curve the

sidewalk is that am I asking for too

much you want to curve the sidewalk I do

remember when earlier we were like oh

good we don't have any more curves that

we have to do in this build and now

you've decided to add at least two more

once you start the curves you don't stop

how lucky would we be if there's a

window that actually works for Curves

don't worry y'all it is open for

business and we're also accepting your

money if we maybe get a vent from Batu

obviously of of course if we shrink it

it could be one of those little like

talkr things that you see at the movies

oh it's coming together it really is oh

we're the silliest girls in school I'm

not silly I'm the silliest girl in

school there's a movie theater piece I

don't know if it's from get famous it is

from get famous what and then maybe like

we do the logo up top here yes and then

we'll do the the name of the theater up

at the top should we do some posters

yeah that'd be great oh my gosh there's

only one showing in town if this theater

is filled with clowns no one's coming

they need some lights yeah they really

do okay wait I'm waiting it's not string

lights nobody says string lights but

it's a different kind of light don't

bring this back but we pulled this out

the other day we cut half of this

because literally I pulled this thing we

tried every mirror in the game but was

it all because the Sims team said one

day Karen and Connie are going to do a

popcorn movie theater build and one day

we'll make it so that it doesn't even

fit the poster what if we take these and

flip them and add them around the movie

posters if this works I'm going to

scream I'm thinking I want some palms

palms Scream movie you know what I'm

saying that's what I thought the soda

needs a door absolutely we'll put a door

on the don't you worry we here at CNC

entertainment value our employees let's

just definitely do the inside of the

ticket booth I'm going to try and curve

this um Good Luck to me the Sims has

still not given us curved cabinets and

has that stopped Karen and I who needs

them anything else for company morale

that you think would go a long way a

plant this one oh yes Bob just like our

plant is it name Bob yes Bob

we also had a plant named Bob we could

put an N next to our Bob because he

tragically didn't make it but this Bob

is going to make it put a microphone

into the cabinets that's interesting um

I will look I like that thought put it

really close to the register here yeah

like

there so let's do a little work on the

back a couple of dumpsters right they

look so small couple of taller dumpsters

there's no such thing as a twostory

dumpster should we oh that's so dumb we

shouldn't do that okay now you have to

tell me would it be kind of cool if we

added like a little parking lot area

back here and then we made this like a

small drivein well now we have to do it

I know what you mean okay Triple Decker

dumpster so this is like a little trick

if you want to make parking lots and

stuff in The Sims first you want to grab

like some kind of black top concrete

then we're going to go and we're going

to find some kind of lowly fence and

we're just going to draw lines like this

that'll make parking spaces Strang comes

in clutch for things like this it has a

lot of stuff kind of like Street and

City themed right there there's the curb

oh nice good yeah it's got weird good

build it's called like something like

stop right is that a British phrase we

call them something different here I

think unless we do call these an America

and if so don't tell me reverse the

truck please oh that's a good idea so

they can sit in the back of the bed

should we oh imagine if you brought like

some pillows in a blanket and you sat

outside of the movie theater cute that's

stuff y'all are you guys calling that

carbert cuz it's blue I'm obsessed with

the way yall can see Wilbur and

everything can we do a couple more Palms

back here not only should we do Palms we

have string light Palms how do you know

that just off the top of your head I

know every single string light object

that is in this game and I willing to

bring it out at any time grab your

popcorn it's movie time I think the

drivein movie theater was inspired

thanks care if we can't get too many

screens inside we'll at least be able to

have one out here as well I'm so happy

we got the drink in yeah you're right I

know I was fighting the circles but you

guys were right it looks really good

Bob's currently Manning the ticket booth

all by himself today he is the employee

of the month that's right every month

well I guess we got to do inside what so

the first floor obviously this is going

to be the lobby up here on the second

floor we thought this is where you're

going to watch the movies now it starts

getting real dicey when you put two

Creeds in here so Cara what did we think

of we decided to dig a Little Deeper so

we get in are two movie theaters and

then we'll have two bathrooms in the

back here as well and then up here is a

surprise yes a surprise for all of you

right it's not a surprise to us who know

what it should be we never do like

double wide staircases double the fun

baby well if you like that double I

actually had another idea double double

that's right two

staircases

wow we just want to get the same sort of

thing downstairs as well so I'm going to

hold control and that's going to place

them in the exact same position but

downstairs so now we need kind of a

checkin concession sort of area you feel

that that blocks the staircase entrance

everybody just has to side step in I

think we should instead maybe go to the

side what if we like have two sets on

either side like we have concessions and

then maybe like drinks or something I

don't hate that okay she doesn't hate it

everybody carpet down the middle I love

that idea yeah we said red carpet

yesterday that sets a mood I feel like I

think so too that's a tone that's a

signal what floors do you think match

the Grandeur the beauty everything that

is everything that we're doing right now

like maybe some wood ones I was thinking

checkerboard wait yes actually we've

done checkerboard in all of the other

builds too it's not that we're using it

too much it's just that we're trying to

keep a consistent theme now we need a

wall spooky theater haunted theater no

wait don't say that that's actually

really exciting and we should not talk

about that I mean this one's not so bad

ooh I feel also like the movie posters

could go really easily like into that

area would it be weird and everyone can

say if this is weird what if we Chang

these back cabinets to like red instead

I don't take a second take a second and

look at it look at all the SES I like it

this bar for the drink side yeah cuz

it's got the little drink fountain in it

oh care genius the black that's

literally so good I it was the first one

I tried well no that that side has

something fun I feel like the other side

should have something fun you think it's

feeling left out yeah oh wait you know

where you go to get like candy at the

movie theater and you can see inside

those glass cases it's going to be a

little tall drink it and then we put two

and then we put a counter in the middle

okay that sounds incredible this back

section is nice but I would love a

little bit of height and dimension what

if we remove a couple of these cabinets

and we add vending machines with drinks

back here oh I love that almost like

they have like little fridges back here

yes exactly I'm thinking I kind of want

to break it up a little bit maybe oh

cool and then maybe we could put a sign

or something over this section showing

times wait wait wa wait wait wait close

your eyes close your eyes whoever said

showing times wait but I want to see no

you can't see it yet now open your eyes

stop it's about the stock market ticket

it's the stock ticket but doesn't that

look like all the show TI oh my God

that's so good do we think it would be

Overkill to do a shelf why don't say it

like that no no no go on do we pop some

pop up here and I've never called it pop

before in my life we grew up in Texas so

we called Everything Coke I think up

north they referred to everything as

soda and then in the midwest they call

everything pop pop Supremacy okay

there's a lot of strong opinion about

this in the chat checking out I'm

already checking it out and it looks

sick Let's Chill on this side let's

duplicate on the other I was just about

to say this guys we are in a popcorn

movie theater right yeah so obviously we

should have some popcorn that looks

slick I think those are functional too

back there right they should be in

theory as much as they can be you know

what I wish we could do you know how

they will show you the different size of

popcorns that you can get oh yeah I wish

that we had like a bucket wait stop is

it literally here that's a popcorn

bucket right oh for sure and then we

just do three different sizes of it up

top yes yes so now K can you put some

popcorn in there yeah yeah yeah sure

sure sure can we get some trash cans oh

yes good we definitely need the people

to throw away their trash we have enough

room to put movie posters I thought

maybe we could turn to this side and

then we could size this up and this

could be like their number one display

movie that they're like trying to get

you to go and see I think we need to do

some seing right I liked the idea of the

back to back I love the idea of the back
