Pokémon Emerald kaiso is known across
the world as the hardest challenge
imaginable throughout the Pokémon worlds
but in reality how hard can it be if
several people have conquered it in fact
one has even beaten the challenge
without a single death yeah it doesn't
sound too hard to me so I decided to try
something actually difficult and set out
to complete a challenge that not a
single person in the world has ever
accomplished instead of utilizing these
broken and soullessly created teams I'm
going to try to beat Pokémon Emerald
with my favorite Pokemon of all time uh
mega Rayquaza look I know it sounds easy
by using a Pokemon with a base dash of
780 but what you're failing to realize
is that he levels up very slowly given
that he's a legendary it's also
challenging because other trainers
typically have more than one Pokemon
which can make mega Rayquaza feel
outclassed especially given that he has
a four times weakness to ice when Delta
stream isn't active so I'm glad we can
all agree that this is going to be one
of the hardest challenges anyone has
ever attempted so let's start from the
beginning in little rout town I hopped
out of the truck had the game function
normally and received a tiny little mega
Rayquaza of my own after making it back
to the lab Professor bur thanked us and
I named it attempt one to help me keep
track of how many attempts this insanely
hard challenge takes so when it came
time to fight our arrival I tried to
take advantage of our limited move pool
and decid to spam ancient power against
ma Mudkip I know it was scary because
Mudkip can learn Ice Beam which is a
four time super effective move against
mega Rayquaza if neutralizing gas happen
to be active fortunately this mud new
tackle and folded before heading back to
the lab collecting some Pokeballs and
ultimately starting the run since I'm
going to be massively outnumbered in
this entire journey I decided to fight
every single trainer I could to make
sure mega Rayquaza can gather as much xp
as possible surprisingly enough though I
didn't reach the level of Rox Sand's Ace
nose pass by the time I even made it to
rustboro so this gym was not going to be
easy on top of it all Mega Rayquaza has
a minus speed nature so to offset this a
bit I went by the trainer school and
picked up a quick claw which is going to
be crucial in this run yes mega Rayquaza
picked up crunch along the way but we
didn't really have a strong answer to
her dominant team of powerful rock type
Pokémon I mean I know that mega Rayquaza
has a base 780 stats but when you add up
all of her team together they heavily
outranked mega Rayquaza with a whopping
975 so needless to say this was not
going to be easy the Quest for my first
gym badge started out with an ancient
power against Geodude which you might
not see the reason for but it worked out
because this increased every single one
of Mega Rayquaza stats to barely give us
the edge of a rock team and take down
our first Geodude tragically though no
pass lowered our speed significantly
with multiple Rock tombs making this an
unfair battle once again but thanks to a
lucky crit and a defense drop mega
Rayquaza managed to pull through with
Rox Sand's back against the wall though
she threw out her final Geodude sure it
looked Bleak for us but after running a
few quick calculations and a bit of
quick claw luck mega Rayquaza took the
win over rockand and barely made it out
alive sure this gym was tough but my
journey was far from over I know that I
went into this gym a bit underleveled
but it's mainly because a guy like me
refused to use rare candies like I
always say grinding is based and
cheating is cringe so naturally I
grinded out a bit more before stopping a
robbery and set sail to doofer town
after spelunking through the cave and
finding a lost twink it was time to
challenge D's fighting type gym in case
you didn't know Rayquaza is actually a
flying type Pokemon which is super
effective against bry's entire team so I
farmed the entire gem for some free XP
and then pressed the a button whopping
three whole times before collecting
another gym badge I know this one looked
easy but it's really only because of the
quick claw I picked up earlier that
allowed us to move first and sweet Broly
then it was time to set sail and
exterminate all other survivors on the
beach in the name of leveling up as I
was about to enter the museum to conquer
Team Aqua for the first time it dawned
on me since nobody has ever attempted
this Gauntlet of a challenge before this
is the furthest anybody has ever been
and I could not afford to lose progress
so I had to fight every fight like my
life depended on it even though I
couldn't help but to feel scared when
the game were throwing multiple fights
back to back at me somehow mega Rayquaza
persevered and kept attempt one alive
and well before I could tackle the next
gym though the runer of all run Enders
was standing in my way the route one0
Rival Battle luckily prior to this fight
mega Rayquaza get to learn a new move of
Dragon Dance I thought it would be a
strong Dragon move but no it's actually
a very bad move that deals zero damage
oh well here goes nothing a again mega
Rayquaza was drastically outnumbered and
immediately humbled by Lombre fake out
but to see it to the end I had to play
around my outs I had to take advantage
of some type advantages for Lombre and
then abuse Slugma low special defense
with air slash so with only one Mar
stomp remaining I pulled out the big
guns with dragon Ascent this move is one
of the strongest moves ever made but it
lowers both of Mega Rayquaza defenses so
even though it's a highrisk high reward
move it allows us to move onwards to
Watson's gym but first we take out
Wall-E anyways navigating through this
electric gym is difficult given how hard
the gym is to navigate but on the bright
side mega Rayquaza now resists electric
type moves due to my strategic usage of
the Delta stream ability that removes
all of Mega Rayquaza's flying type
weaknesses so now it's time to challenge
Watson and hopefully collect yet another
badge since mega Rayquaza was unable to
One-Shot Voltorb given a poor damage
roll we lost an intimidating 5 HP from
spark roughly 16 more of those and this
run is as good as over over I managed to
waste some more of Watson's heels and
ultimately knocked out the Rogue voltor
before things got too much worse the
Magneton may not have dealt any damage
but leaving mega Rayquaza with a
paralysis is a far worse scar than
anything else now we are at the risk of
getting outsped with a Chance of never
attacking again but this is where quick
claw comes in this circumnavigates all
of our current shortcomings and believe
it or not mega Rayquaza was still able
to take out a manectric but that health
bar is getting low in fact it's almost
yellow so with my back against the wall
mega Rayquaza put it all on the line
with one final Dragon ascent and somehow
Live to Tell the tale tragically enough
though mega Rayquaza is not a good
enough Pokemon to learn all of the
required HMS so no this challenge is
actually impossible because mega
Rayquaza is not even close to being as
good of a Pokemon as Zig zigon maybe I
can just tweak the rules a little bit
and recruit an extra Zig zigon but never
use him in battle so I guess the mega
Rayquaza solar run is still still on as
long as Zig zigon never deals any damage
I mean he's fine to break a few rocks
along the way right then after leaving
Gabby and Tai with some Choice words it
was time to Trek through hen's dry spell
and push the plot forward through this
Montage of a sentence and just like that
we made it to this specific plot point
and learned extreme speed and with the
help of our quick claw it should be even
faster and maybe even stronger but now
it's time for Mega Rayquaza and I to
scale Mount Chimney to challenge our
favorite little Eco terrorist of Maxi
his terrifying mighta puts us at a
drastic disadvantage of lowering our
attack so after trying out Dragon Dance
a couple times it made us faster sure
but air slash didn't deal any extra
noticeable damage I decided to then try
out extreme speed and wow the Dragon
Dance buffed it I guess being faster
just makes us hit even
harder one more extreme speed and Maxi
was done he quickly disappeared in a
Flash so all I really had to do was pick
up a random egg I mean it could could be
anything I guess perhaps even a Shiny
Mega Rayquaza oh yeah there's also a gym
here so let's uh deal with this hot SAA
and prepare to challenge Flanery in this
dreaded battle she has four whole
Pokémon who massively lap mega Rayquaza
and stats given that she is a fire
trainer we don't have a single move nor
have we ever had one that's super
effective against any of her team so the
only way out is to strategize I mean if
one of her Pokémon had gold deck
signature ability of Cloud9 then a
pathetical blizzard would be four times
super effective so uh let's just hope
nothing like that happens her first
newal rudely ignored my dragon's dance
and struck hard with an overheat that
dealt a dangerous amount of Health
before mega Rayquaza fought back with a
quick claw boosted extreme speed then
came Flan's camera up and not even she
was prepared for another quick claw
activation on Extreme Speed making this
speed even more extreme with her Ace now
in the war zone toal knocked mega
Rayquaza down to nearly half health so
you can tell that these battles are
starting to get tough Perle tanked a
whole extreme speed but fortunately
could not take another then all she had
left was a Slugma who was dead to a few
quick calculators and one lone ascended
dragon and that's four badges out of the
way now all I have to do is run directly
to Norman but since this is known as one
of the easier gyms in the game and
didn't serve any challenge before mega
Rayquaza yeah I just collected another
gym badge and oh uh our Zig zagon
evolved just in time to learn surf and
carry us towards for Tree City but first
the weather Institute and uh you've
played this game before right you know
how the story goes but have you ever
attempted it with mega Rayquaza yeah
it's a bit harder okay all we do is take
down a few Grunts and admin for fun and
collect a cast form to keep our new why
not company yeah no uh tragically enough
the egg was not a Shiny Mega Rayquaza
given that this is such a brutal and
unforgiving Pokémon challenge The
Gauntlet of trainers was far from over
for our punan small mega Rayquaza given
that this was one of the most brutal and
unforgiving Pokémon challenges huh that
name kind of has a good ring to it and
it doesn't look like anyone uses it
maybe I should Rebrand and just change
my Logos to triangles or something sure
enough though may had to come back for
more once again her Lombre overpowered
mega Rayquaza with a blazing fake out
before speeding our way through maze
next Maron since I didn't run the Cs for
this one I decided to go with mega
Rayquaza's strongest move but lowered
both defenses and left him vulnerable to
Ma incoming Slugma as you know the food
chain can easily be turned upside down
when one was wounded but due to some
Insane luck mega Rayquaza delivered
another finishing blow and defeated May
once again but you know only barely then
with Steven's new magic trick out of the
way wiona was the only obstacle left in
my path for a sixth gym badge sure the
torturous chamber of puzzles made for
children slowed me down a bit but now we
were face to face with two different
outcomes Victory are failing this
incredibly difficult challenge I've
already put several hours into to
because the hardest part of this battle
is that Winona brought five entire
Pokémon with her keep in mind these
combined base stats are so high that I
would need nearly three whole mega
Rayquaza to make this a fair fight but I
will do my best to see it through I was
of course worried about swabl mega
evolving here but mega Rayquaza finished
them off with one air slash before they
even got a chance of course Altaria is
coming out next and I tried to Dragon
Dance to taunt the Lesser Dragon but to
my surprise they returned it lucky for
me though the move doesn't really do
anything I mean I even checked the Cals
and though most of my moves would kill
Dragon Dance couldn't and it's not like
I'm even the only person who thinks it
might be the worst move ever striking
Altaria with dragn aent Pro fruitful but
risky because now again both of my
defenses are essentially gone and to
defeat Skarmory the Cal said I was going
to have to risk it all once more sure
tropus wasn't going to stand in our way
but then there was peler I only had one
chance to striking down with another
Dragon Ascent since if I missed anything
probably would have killed me through my
minus like eight defenses sure enough
though mega Rayquaza defied all
expectations and collected the sixth gym
badge and a new move that's right a
dragon move that actually deals damage
and as you all probably know the next
chunk of hoen gameplay is something that
I usually skip
over and today is no exception oh hey
welcome back don't worry you didn't miss
much if you can believe it mega Rayquaza
really started start to tear through the
game once you get to this point
eventually I made it to Moz deep and I
know you've never seen this part of the
game due to the Intensive puzzles but it
truly takes a tactician to get this far
in the first ever mega
Rayquaza mega Rayquaza solo run after
flexing my incredible puzzle abilities
it was time to fight Tate and Liza with
our lone soldier and a lenon that is
only going to spam growl after
navigating my way through a very tricky
double battle the final 1V one was
perhaps the scariest battle yet the
enemy cayll was happy and healthy but
mega Rayquaza was down to nearly half
Health that's right we are deep inside
crit range I think so to play it safe I
expertly DOD an oncoming attack with fly
since I recently replaced Dragon Ascent
because it's kind of bad since it lowers
my defenses anyways just look at the
helpless Cay doll's face as they fly
around their psychic strike nearly all
of their health and even had time to
tank the next psychic they had so now
it's time to bring it all home with an
extreme speed but sadly we did not
activate quick claw it was a complicated
battle and I hope you were able to keep
up with how technical all of that was so
with the seventh gym badge in hand all
that there was left to do was battle
with Steven and our incredibly balanced
teams I mean do I even need to say it so
now I have to head underwater and uh
lenon can't learn dive but sure enough
it's time for Mega Rayquaza to come in
clutch since it's essentially like fly
but underwater which is a good thing I
mean we can dodge like twice as many
attacks now no need for a move like
extreme speed anyway since we already
have quick claw equipped too you might
not like it but this move set is
actually what Peak mega Rayquaza looks
like all we have to do now is pick up
the super awesome and strong earthquake
TM and then take down Archie which we
did but only barely then the ego
terrorist terrorized the weather or
something and now it's up to me to
venture off to the Sky Tower and find
some Pokémon named Rayquaza I mean I did
but what the hell is this thing honestly
it doesn't look very strong at all to me
probably it's a quad ice weakness or
something so I use this cut scene as a
sign to take a bathroom break since I've
been going at this for like 18 hours
straight now and you know like all the
action that I needed was going to be
right inside of the final gym it was
definitely a treacherous path getting
there but since this is the furthest a
mega Rayquaza solar run in Pokemon
Emerald has ever been I wasn't going to
go down without a good fight 18 hours
later and it was finally time to collect
the last gym badge in hoen and our fate
opponent was a ravenous love disc yeah
this thing's power is like a third of
Mega Rayquaza but we have to keep in
mind that there's a chance he has four
other love discs in the party there's
really just no way to know these things
ahead of time luckily though mega
Rayquaza Dodge sweet kiss with a
well-timed fly and managed to land the
damage roll that took love disc down but
uh-oh now we have to deal with KRA so
good thing we removed Dragon Dance
because the pulse variant netted us the
kill so then it was time for the rest of
Wan's team to fall to a collection of
Mega Rayquaza's Master tactics before
collecting the final gym badge it's been
a long day but the culmination of our
entire journey is finally coming to
fruition we entered Victory Road we
clutched up against Wally's team and
finally made it to the Elite 4 and as
I'm sure you know once we step through
those doors the beginning of the end
will have finally begun so thanks
everyone for watching and supporting the
series so far okay okay jokes aside for
real this time we're just going to skip
through some of these fights because the
elite for despite their incredibly
overpowered teams that Tower over mega
Rayquaza stats they could not handle the
smoke I mean yeah I just I'm grinding
before the Elite 4 but it's only fair
when I have one lone tiny puny
microscopic mega Rayquaza it took a lot
of time but getting to level 100 feels
like it should make for a good fight
right yes the answer is yes because
believe it or not mega Rayquaza storm
through the best hoen had to offer as a
result of my sheer skill and nothing
else well until we ran into Champion
Wallace who surprisingly actually caused
some issues before we entered the Elite
4 I went back and tweak the move set a
little bit because hey to complete a
challenge of this difficulty you have to
bring everything you got and when the
battle started Wallace opened with wh
Lord perfect exactly what I expected
given that you could never be too safe
in a battle like this I had to run some
calculations and of course there it is a
guaranteed one hit knockout with fly
perfect we might just be able to do this
sure yeah Wallace has a melodic but I
even caled around the possibility of Ice
Beam I mean if the melodic happened to
land 10 of the move they might not even
have we were screwed so it was time to
swiftly take it out with a quick claw
boosted extreme speed before things got
too out of hand then with tinac taking
the stage we ran some new Cs and I
thought it would be best to dodge the
inevitable toxic with the fly
but uh I I I I was wrong he used toxic
and it
and and and it and it worked for some
reason yeah apparently poison types can
never miss toxic like ever like that's a
thing especially since fly is only a
semi invulnerable move like jokes aside
from this video and all uh I didn't know
that you learn something new every day I
guess and now our solo Pokemon run might
actually come to an end since toxic
drains your health based on percentage
which means our level 100 grinding was
ultimately for nothing here and suddenly
things have actually become hilariously
D ah get back into character the next
wish cash goes down to a well-timed
extreme speed but now we're racing
against the clock because every move I
use results in more and more health Lost
it's like health is a resource oh that's
good and if I can be honest I might
actually fail this challenge which sure
I know I'm the Nuzlocke King and this is
the furthest anyone has ever gotten with
mega Rayquaza but oh my God is this
embarrassing embarassing because now
that Gyarados is here his intimidate
activates and somehow our level 100 mega
Rayquaza can no longer oneshot Gyarados
with extreme speed yeah even if quick
claw activates so one Dragon puls later
and we're face to face with the final
Pokémon Luda Colo our health is draining
rapidly and we have a guaranteed win
here with dragon pulse but fly feels so
much more hype here you know first off
there's a chance the move doesn't even
hit it's 95% accurate hype secondly
there's a chance that it doesn't even
kill because of damage rolls hype and
lastly there's a chance we die to toxic
before the second hit even connects
again height so let's try it this move
kills it 100%
kills wait
wait oh we hit those we actually hit
[Music]
those oh my God and just like that I
became the first person in the world to
ever beat Pokemon Emerald with just one
mega Rayquaza and uh unrelated happy
April Fool's
