joins us now from Los Angeles um Kinsey

this is this is a a great shock to us

and I'm quite certain that you share in

our in our sadness in our optimism that

uh God willing our beautiful princess of

Welles will recover fully and and

speedily but the the the vulnerability

and the Frailty coupled with the

courageous bravery and honesty really is

something extraordinary to behold I

think Vanessa I really wish that I had

you have such an uplifting you know

Spirit right now and I wish I could meet

you there I am

unfortunately I'm just so angry at I

I've lost all faith in

humanity and this I'm just really

disappointed at the way we've treated

her and it feels like we've pushed her

into having to make this statement and

um you know I've done news all over the

world for the last two weeks and I've

been asked sorts of horrific questions

about This Woman's privacy and about you

know her credibility is she a liar did

she lie about the photo did she do I

really think she photoshopped the photo

and so I think cancer is so scary and

it's so upsetting and you have such a a

cheerful and joyful Spirit right now and

I wish I could meet you there but I'm

mad at the Kim Kardashians making fun of

it of the situation on my way to find

Kate I'm mad at the John Olivers I'm mad

at the Steven colars and I'm mad that

this person became a punchline when she

was going through something so serious

and horrible behind the scenes I I I

share every word that you say I feel

exactly the same I have been one of the

people in this country I'm a newspaper

columnist obviously I broadcast on talk

TV every day and I've had absolutely no

truck with any of this any of the time I

have thought it has been a combination

of extreme rudeness ill-mannered charish

boring isness it really has been

disgraceful and I have said so daily I

have been horrified by it I've written

about how Gastly it is things I've

written have been on the front page of

newspapers here because I have been AUST

at the way in which you know some

imbecilic idiots who decide to write

something malicious entirely of their

own invention into their smartphones

have somehow kind of been an avalanche

that's gained traction gained momentum

and then sensible incredible journalists

such as yourself such as journalists at

the BBC my former colleagues have been

somehow compelled to give some sort of

credence to this arrant nonsense by

having to a acknowledge it exists and B

comment on it and it's been a paing it's

been rude and crash entirely unnecessary

based on fiction and figments of really

malicious and malign imagination and I

get why you're crying I mean it is a

shaming thing isn't it that that a a a

young woman in the throws of cancer uh

embarking on chemotherapy recovering

from serious abdominal uh operation has

to make a comment and a statement in

this way just to keep the the the the

the the pressure at Bay and keep

people's you know hideous personal views

at a distance I agree with you I I you

know were I not presenting this show I

probably have a good cry too because I I

I think it really has been a sullying of

so many people who should be ashamed and

really should apologize in fact on my

program I've said over the last few days

aren't people going to have to hang

their heads in shame and apologize do

you think anybody will out of interest

do you think anyone will say

sorry I mean I hope so I I did

immediately go to check to see if Kim

Kardashian had removed her post where

she was kind of poking fun at Katherine

and she had not done that yet um I I

don't know you know it's to me I I just

think that this became too lucrative of

a of a business for online clout for

these ticktockers and for these

YouTubers and you know Prince William

they had somebody told the times last

weekend Prince William said he felt like

their bubble was being jeopardized their

bubble was closing in on them and and

you you see that you you saw that with

somebody taking a video of her in a

parking lot um Windsor which is

typically a very Sacred Space for him

and his family where they feel safe safe

and they feel like the um the

neighborhood is fiercely so protective

of them uh they lost that in a very

sensitive time and I know that there

must be so much concern um particularly

for Prince William who lost his mother

at a young age like he does not he would

doesn't wish that on anyone so you know

it's devastating to think about and and

it's been a hard few weeks as you've

said having to uh react to just absolute

gutter gossip on the internet and and

here we are today and I've said it

before and I'll say it again I hope that

the people that did participate in this

feel horrible feel a sincere amount of

guilt right now and one of the things

that's been said on this program this

evening and you've got to remember we're

broadcasting having just heard about

this so you know people are trying

although we're professional broadcasting

we do this all the time but trying to

process it and feeling all manner of uh

emotions just as you are you know great

sorrow great hope and optimism that Kate

is going to make a fantastic recovery

very soon but you know awareness of how

this will be impacting her children and

and and and her family and everything

else um but one of the things that's

been said by various correspondents

including the highly respected World

correspondent Michael Cole is that he is

expecting and hoping for let's say some

kind of statement from Montesito you

know we feel very much that in these

very sad and worrying circumstances a

brother and a sister-in-law rather than

advertising you know dog baskets and

bird baths and you know I don't know

what decorative ornaments really would

be better

deployed issuing some kind of um

statement even if it's only to say we

have privately communicated with William

and Kate we've we've made a private

comment we don't want to share it with

the well but we just think you should

know that we have made it or something

of that kind do you think that's likely

Kinsey to

happen I do think that this is such a

severe situation that it is likely to

happen um you know it it it looks

horrible that Megan Markle launched

American Riviera Orchard in the middle

of what we knew that the Princess of

Wales was sick to the extent that she

was sick we did not know and she had

become this kind of Pop Culture meme at

the time when Megan launched that brand

but now looking back it is a horrible

reflection on their decision making a

source told People magazine that Harry

and Megan have been left in the cold

when it comes to the Princess of Wales

recovery process I think that is obvious

at this point in time um but they would

it would it would make them look a

little bit better if they would release

some sort of statement saying that she

was in their thoughts and prayers and uh

they were going to reach out to her they

are reaching out to her or something to

that extent but um I I agree with you I

think that that needs to be done or

people will be very unforgiving polling

wise the Princess of Wales is still the

most popular uh Royal in the United

States and she has seen a boost in that

popularity due to some of thisa Chaos
