I'm Linda I'm and welcome to the family

we started our intro with the kids just

so we can do a little chat

before jeez we could do a little chat

without them just to talk about our

video today so today we are visiting

SDSU San Diego State University we never

thought we would go visit SDSU if you

guys watched Nicole's last video you

guys would know that she didn't get into

UCLA that's okay of course it's been

really hard on her and the family just

because she wanted it so you just felt

her heart um literally breaking it's

just we didn't know how

grueling of a process it was not only

for her not only for parents but also

for other high school kids like I mean

they don't even like warn you how

grueling the process is it's pretty um

heartbreaking for Nicole and other high

schoolers you know seniors you know they

work so hard and they have a dream to go

to a certain school and when they get

rejected it's heartbreaking to see what

they go through you know we're here to

just to support her and just make her

feel better and you know we feel her

pain when she's in pain we're in pain

too so no 100% And we know as parents

that it's going to be okay we know we've

always trusted for her that everything

will happen the way it's supposed to we

truly feel that in our heart and she

still has to go through the motions

corre she still has to go through the

Heartbreak it was the expectation of

something that was beyond her control

things are working out we believe day by

day you know it gets easier and easier

of course just like everything else when

time will heal you know we just keep

telling her that it's a curve in life

you move on and you'll realize later on

you know what a blessing it will be why

it happened the way it did it's not

really what happens to you in life right

that makes you who you are it's how you

react to it and how you pick yourself up

from it and how you move on with your

life you're allowed to kind of go

through the motions you're allowed to

feel what you feel don't suppress it

feel what you need to feel just know

that all your hard work is going to pay

off in another way or shape or form you

just don't know what yet anyways we just

wanted to say that little bit before we

left to San die go because even though

she was so so excited about UCLA you

know she can also have that same

excitement for another school you're

going to be okay no matter what you're

going to be okay and all the kids are

going through it just know that it's

going to be okay it's a different path

it's going to work out you everything

works out for your own good so yeah so

on our way to San Diego all right Leno

family is in the car road trip Ro and

s's coming

too so kids we already told them where

we're going me and Dad had a little

moment

it heard I was upstairs and I was like

uhoh Mom's crying I wasn't crying I just

you know I'll let bully and Christian

take it for a little hi guys look

Christian has his glasses on the right

way we are visiting scsu campus today go

Aztec you know it's not the mascot I

thought I would be saying I don't even

actually know if I'm going to this

school but we're just visiting it cuz

I'm keeping an open mind after you know

month of rejections and if you watch my

video already I like I talked about

everything but it has been a little bit

tough but it literally like felt like a

heartbreak cuz I was so connected to

UCLA I know I had all these like hopes

and dreams and I like fantasized about

it so then when I got my rejection later

is like a knife to the heart kind of so

definitely been crying and you know

feeling all the feels but it's getting

better I'm just accepting like I can't

control God's plan you know things are

going to happen if they're supposed to

happen there's just more out there for

me elsewhere so I'm excited for today

and it's fun because we get to do a

little day trip with the family and even

s's here but we're going to have a fun

day ahead I think we're going to try all

the food not only visit the campus but

just like the community in like the area

we've been to San Diego before it's

really beautiful there I've been doing

more research and like looking on Tik

Tok about scsu and it looks like a

really good school I found out that

Greek life is really big there though

being in a sority and in a frat is

pretty important in order to like have a

social life almost but the classes seem

cool it's like 15 minutes away from the

beach there's a pretty cool meal plan

too on campus there's like a bunch of

restaurants that you can just like wipe

all day there's like ASA bows poke I

think there's like a Chipotle oh my gosh

there better be noodles if there's not

noodles that might be a might be a Ty

then you're not going then I'm not going

if there's no noodles like cus we

will'll probably like visit the merch

store and like just get a feel of the

campus hopefully I like feel something

you know cuz I've really only visited

UCLA campus so it's time to Branch out

you guys how do you feel C it was really

sad to see Nicole

cry are you even though I make a cry all

the time that's why you just don't apply

to

college Christian if you don't apply to

college you can't get

rejected that's why I didn't me

personally when I was her age I didn't

apply to college he's lying I'm not

lying no it's not out of high school I

went straight to you miss all the

chances that you don't take no but it is

sad though I remember my senior year the

entirety of high school I wanted to go

to a university and I worked hard for it

once Co hit I dropped it and for the

right reasons we just decided I was

going to go to Community College and for

the first maybe 3 months 4 months of

Community College I was pretty torn down

wanted to be at University so I kind of

have a feeling and Imagination of what

Nicole is going through right now I wish

I could show her what she's going to

look like in a year cuz she'll be happy

about it what happened when you went to

the Community College you met Skye oh

it's worth it yeah yeah it shows like

everything happens for a reason yeah I'm

glad I went to community college now I

no longer would dwell on it and that's

the thing like I know that everything

will be fine like a year from now it

just sucks like right now in the moment

cuz I have I feel so lost like I

literally don't know where I'm going to

be in like the next few months I'm such

a planner so like I just want to figure

it out and like I had a plan already in

my head for the next four years so

obviously that's going to change I'm

just like I need a plan and she was she

was so so excited about UCLA but guess

what life throws curved balls and so

we're going to give her something else

to be excited about so hopefully today

we'll give her a little bit of

clarification give her a few things to

get excited about so see you guys there

7eleven okay made it so nice it's 70°

out the weather is beautiful clear skies

sun's out excited we're already seeing

college students walking mhm they're

everywhere

surprisingly I know we're going to find

parking and walking around we already

found a few things Nicole on Tik Tok

already so has to pee s has to really

there's a church for Coy to go to church

Sunday okay we made it to SDSU I think

we're on like the outskirts of it we

parked by our Trader Joe's and a couple

restaurants super cute so far and the

weather is pretty gorgeous yeah it's

nice so now we are trying to go on

campus I think we're in the area where

they have like a lot of food like

there's like an

LL sandwiches oh you did some sandwich

shops cute yeah what did they have there

oh maybe Burgers Co what is that the

Conrad Aztec student center student

union the Student Union what does that

mean mean I don't know okay we'll just

keep walking and

see

all right we're in the little Aztec

Market okay I think this is where they

gas oh really they have

smoothies you want to order something or

look around first can I let's take a

quick look first okay I think this is

just like the grocery store like the

mark oh

uhuh it's like a little grocery store

it's expensive just like mine one at my

huh is it cost more cuz it's like for

the

convenience it's a part of the meal I

think oh there original

soluable how does it feel to order your

own

soluable oh my God what are you going to

huh yeah you probably have to go into a

restaurant and get her water look what

place to buy some merch I mean just for

fun so we're in the merch store and I

just had a moment

she's crying guys like she might

crazy I don't know I like it so far

you're so emotional woman I am emotional

do you know what I've been through the

last two weeks it's always in like the

stores it is the word store you that

like questions like doming Hills I tried

too I think because um you know I see

wearing it and I see like the people

wearing the clothes too and it's like

college yeah that's nice colors I know

okay so let's look for a sweater for you

these cute crew and black and white

don't have a medium so she's going to

try on this gray one which I think is

still cute yeah I think I'll like it

yeah let me

see okay so the gray one didn't work

out I put it on my mom said was

like and now we we decided on the black

hoodie okay that screams student oh my

God so cute go ask no that's so cute

probably the white hat okay so a

freshman that goes here her name's Anita

she works at the admissions office and

then she came up to me she's like oh my

gosh are you nicool and then she was

just talking to us about life on campus

and like SCU was like asking her about

it but she was like so welcoming and

super sweet and she said she really

loves it here too so I don't know huh I

don't know yeah I know but it did make

like us feel so welcome though right to

us that's really important it's very

important Charles Bell Pavilion

Christian's hungry oh cute more food

they have a lot of food

here oh Christian fish tacos fish

burritos Next Food Rubios so we're in

the food court and there's like a bunch

more restaurants there's so much food on

this campus yeah it's pretty good it's

lent so we can't eat meat today so

Christian want a shrimp burrito and I

forgot there's rice in it I was supposed

to share with him and I love who got my

burrito so I'm probably going to order

another one with cauliflower rice papalo

is going to get chicken for sa this one

oh she's waiting for her

food and then Coy found some fun facts

so go ahead Co SP okay I'm getting more

excited you guys and I'm like looking up

more stuff on like Tik Tok and Instagram

whatever I'm pretty sure every Thursday

they bring like food trucks on campus so

there's even more food I think I think

hopefully I'm not spreading like rubers

or whatever but but you heard yeah

that's what I heard and I was just was

telling her on the way to the restroom

which I felt safe for her to go by

herself that's that's a really good sign

that's a really good sign that it just

feels lighter here yeah supposed to just

have some fun do you feel that that

actually like makes a lot of sense yeah

I don't feel as like I don't know like

of course studies are always going to be

a priority but I just feel like it's

like fun yeah I agree and because

there's so much food on campus my Mom

feels that I'm taking care of here

because she doesn't have to you know

like pack my lunch every day I can just

go here to the food PT or get a shakes

smart as iable things are going good so

far today so far so good I think we

might jump on a trolley next see where

it takes us yeah a t

dude what if he like starts a trend and

everyone start wearing the sunglasses

like that guys looks like like the

middle of the Quad where we're at no in

here yeah cuz it's Friday they're off

dees that's what they call them day

rages Dees M day partying we met

somebody that supports Nicole that goes

here she came up and said hi and we

asked her about her experiences here and

she's actually taking us to her dorm now

which is really cool because we wouldn't

have been able to see one otherwise

they're walking towards there right now

shout out to Tiffany I'll see what I can

and can't film but we're excited to see

what potentially might be okay here we

go okay so we R into Tiffany and she's

our first year here at scsu and guess

what she's showing us her dorm she saw

us where were we when we first hner

hallway oh hner Hall I heard I heard

about that on Tik Tok and then she was

like do you want to see my door we're

like yeah and so we've just been like

talking and she's been showing us like

all the things we in campus it's like so

fun so we're in one of the dorm Halls

right now there's like a pool and

everything it's so nice so she just

showed us the pool area there was like a

basketball court mini golf very cool and

that's like our Lounge aloh aloha cute

L okay it's kind of a little messy which

one's your best this that's my bed I

think if I if I would choose I want like

bowling that's right that's right you're

a student you get two threee games every

day per day you totally missed the first

munching doing this place is really fun

okay we are at the trolley so apparently

this takes you to downtown I don't even

know to a bunch of stops in San Diego

but it's really cool because the trollie

is literally in the campus of scsu

students can just take it like wherever

and like look at this you just like walk

downstairs and it's a whole like trolley

station whatever so we're going to

explore my mom had to get these wait can

we show the cards not the two she was

going to show the ch to trolley cards

only like $2 $2.50 if you used it within

2 hours I gave us $5 each just in case

yeah exciting stuff let's see where we

end

up oh my God that would have been so bad

right we just got off what's it

called hey it looks kind of like a mall

oh a shopping

center and Macy's I think it's like s or

something we got off a stop at the mall

and we decided to sit at the restaurant

and we got like a hummus plate I guess

all right you guys we're back on the SCC

campus we took the trolley back from

Mission Valley something trolley was a

really cool experience wouldn't suggest

going by yourself yeah or at night time

there's like I don't know little sus

yeah cuz it's not just scsu people so

yeah it's like open to the public anyone

a quick recap of what everybody thought

about the school Christian it was cool

it's the biggest university I've seen

it's nice very good people very good

campus it's like the college yeah we met

actually a good amount of nice people

today that helped us out gave us a lot

of helpful info and really good food

cool places to hang out and I think

Nicole really enjoy it here yeah okay

personally I was trying to be

open-minded when I got here but I was

still a little like closed off if you

know what I mean but as the day went on

like we met really good people I was

just getting Good Vibes like all around

there's a lot of good food here I don't

know I didn't have that many cons we had

a good time today yeah which is just

like really refreshing after like the

past few weeks so I don't know I had a

great experience and I'm really glad we

went me too I think yeah it was like

meant to be it was a good experience

pleasantly surprised to say the least

yeah but anyways we're going to go out

to dinner now and then go home but we're

going to end this video yeah stay tuned

for more College content for me which is

like crazy to say but it's getting close

so yeah next week we'll be Nicole's

final decision so I'm not sure if we'll

incorporate any of that in the next

video but we might yeah stay tuned thank
