Transcripts
what up you nerds my name is Fallout and
yeah the title is true as of today I am
no longer under embargo and will be
putting up one of four short videos
between today and tomorrow showing and
talking about exclusive footage I was
allowed to record of me playing the
final shape big shout out to Bungie of
course for inviting me to this very
small event I really appreciate it and
be sure to ring the notification Bell on
the channel because trust me you don't
want to miss the other upcoming videos
today we're talking about new Exotics
and yeah you've probably seen some of
these on Twitter or wherever already but
I got handson footage baby and I'm
excited to tell you a lot of stuff that
you don't know from the previews alone
we're going to go in no real order at
all check the timeline down in the video
if you want to jump ahead to armor but
if you want to see the Exotic I'm most
excited about that'll be at the very end
of the video first up and one I've been
dying to talk about the still hunt
sniper rifle aka the golden gun sniper
rifle one of the first weapons I tested
during my time visiting Bungie the
Exotic perk reads Cades retribution pick
up orbs of power or land Precision hits
to charge this weapon's super bar when
full long press your reload button to
fire golden gunshots we also have two
unique weapon perks first Sharpshooter
this weapon gains passive bonuses to
Target acquisition aim down sight speed
and Flinch resistance the bonus improves
when the weapon super mode is active
also golden Munitions this magazine
gains bonus ammo whenever a golden gun
shot is acquired I got to tell yall this
weapon is awesome and I'm really looking
forward to bringing it into PVE content
like GM nightfalls or any solar surge
activity in game when picking up orbs or
Landing sniper headshots you charge the
bar which you can see in the bottom
leftand corner of your HUD by the way in
any footage I showed today take a look
at the HUD footage in the bottom left
hand corner they cleaned up the HUD and
it looks really good anyway if you get
six sniper crit shots you will fully
charge the Golden Gun meter which is not
bad at all you get less meter from
grabbing orbs of power I believe 12 orbs
in total will fill the meter and you can
mix and match too meaning if you got
three head shot with your sniper and six
orbs of power you should be able to fill
the bar but yeah considering how easy it
is to generate orbs of power right now
in D2 you can get a lot of mileage out
of this weapon one question I saw
popping up on Twitter a lot when the
preview of the weapons dropped does this
work with Celestial Nighthawk I wanted
to jump in so badly with a reply because
I had the exact same question and can
confirm that yes it does normally the
gun fires three shots when you activate
Golden Gun mode but with Nighthawk
equipped you get one shot that does mega
damage absolute godamn fire regarding
the golden Munitions perk fairly
straightforward if you activate regular
Goldie mode you get three shots back
into the mag and if you have Nighthawk
you get one shot back in the mag as with
pretty much every exotic we're going to
talk about today I don't really know
exactly how to get this exotic but I'm
definitely going to hard recommend you
grab it even if you're not a hunter and
therefore can't equip Nighthawk although
yeah extra high priority if you are a
golden gun Hunter activate it and spank
some dumb Champion or mini boss
immediately for free or maybe use it at
the beginning of a DPS phase and hit a
boss with two Nighthawk golden guns one
regular one from your sniper before
continuing with regular heavy weapon
damage output so much fun to play around
with cannot wait to use it in the final
shape next up the microcosm exotic Trace
rifle our very first heavy Trace rifle
and oddly as I'm sure you know from the
preview this thing is kinetic first ever
kinetic heavy weapon exotic perk
paracausal beam fires a beam of Kinetic
light dealing massive bonus damage to
Shields that is actually quite handy
because by Design kinetic weapons deal
more damage to unshielded enemies
meaning that both with this perk and by
being kinetic microcosm deals good
damage to both shielded and unshielded
enemies you also have paracausal
imbuement final blows with this weapon
grants super energy this weapon gains
bonus damage when your super expires if
you're wondering yes I do did have
enough time to quickly test that out I
know pretty God damn funny that I got to
record footage of new content at Bungie
and a lot of it is here at Carl the
cabal I promise you I will have nonc
Carl final shaped footage in my other
videos when activated paracausal
imbuement last for 20 seconds a really
long time and the extra damage output
seems to be around 20% reminder all
these numbers are subject to change
between now and the final shape but
that's what it was for me now admittedly
there will be naysayers and I do get it
while this gun mows through trash like
you wouldn't believe I don't know if
it'll be a big time DPS type weapon that
can hang with burst damage Kings however
microcosms biggest Advantage is
something listed nowhere on the weapon
in the new Prismatic subclass system in
order to activate Transcendence which is
incredibly strong by the way you first
have to build up both a light and dark
meter on your HUD if you have both a
light and dark weapon equipped that you
swap between a lot you might build up
the bars pretty evenly but there will be
times where you build up one bar bar way
faster than the other kinetic weapons
feed both bars at the same time though
and with how efficient microcosm is at
Burning through enemies it is extremely
handy at getting you Transcendence at
lightning quick speed right now I'm
thinking for PVE content where you're on
the way to a boss encounter like for
example maybe the relay race Encounter
of The Vow raid burn through everything
and get your Transcendence faster more
on Prismatic in another video by the way
but short version good Lord next up the
kastav kinetic Auto rifle I'm going to
be real I was not expecting to like this
gun as much as I did exotic perk the
right choice every seventh bullet from
this weapon deals additional damage and
Ricochet to nearby Targets on top of
that unique trait eyes up Guardian
collecting orbs of power strengthens
this weapon's next several Ricochet
shots providing more damage and more
bouncing between targets as you can see
the gun also comes with shoot to loot
meaning the gameplay loop with kastav is
incredibly straightforward step one kill
a bunch of enemies and make sure you
have a Connect itic siphon Mod on your
helmet ensuring you generate a lot of
orbs of power step two shoot an orb of
power via shoot to loot on the gun step
three continue shredding trash even
harder with your now buffed up Ricochet
shots from the limited time I was able
to play kastav felt like an absolute
Workhorse of a weapon like the micras a
huge benefit of the kastav is that it's
kinetic meaning it'll be able to evenly
charge your Transcendent light and dark
meter at the same time depending on how
hard exactly this weapon will be to
acquire when the final shap drops I want
to get it as soon as I can to help me
get through the campaign again was very
much shocked at how effective and fun
the weapon was in PVE the Ricochet
damage is just straight up free extra
crowd control one more weapon before we
jump over to exotic armor a blast from
the past Red Death exotic perk
Redemption final blows with this weapon
cure you and increase reload speed
reloading after final blows cures nearby
allies you also have inverse
relationship when you deal damage with
this weapon it gains increased handling
takes reduced Flinch and movement speed
is increased for a short time while
you're at reduced Health the weapon
deals additional damage good God what a
weapon perk I played very little PVP
during my time at Bungie which not a big
surprise there was a lot of things to
see and very little time to record in
the one match where I did throw on the
Red Death for a few minutes it felt
exactly the way I hoped it would hit
really hard and the Damage numbers
indicate that it definitely is capable
of two- tapping someone if you have
perfect aim and catch them out in the
open I do worry about the health regen
factor in PvP as anything in PvP that
allows you to regen Health can
potentially become a nuisance I.E worm
husk Crown original Phoenix dive Etc but
I'm not going to worry too much yet
about red death completely dominating
the PVP meta as is an exotic meaning
people would have to choose between that
and their beloved conditional finality
quite the conundrum regarding the extra
damage from inverse relationship don't
panic it seems minor didn't have time to
test but regular headshot damage on the
gun in PvP is 41 per bullet and during a
brief moment when I died while shooting
I hit a shot for 43 meaning maybe around
a 4.5% damage buff something in that
ballpark expect it to just push out your
damage drop off a little bit but having
it baked right into the gun is really
handy I used red death very briefly in
PVE and with the pulse rifle changes
that were baked into the version of the
game that we played it was fun hit like
a truck and I may give it a whirl for
the health regen factor for myself and
nearby teammates but that being said I
think it was made specifically for PVP
all right let's talk exotic armor
starting with an exotic I did not put
enough respect on when it was announced
on Twitter the metod doxia thinking
about it now I probably should have
asked somebody at Bungie on how to
correctly pronounce the name of that
exotic anyway the original preview on
Twitter said Arcane needles cause a
suspending detonation and in the video
we see an ogre getting hit by all three
needles before getting suspended same
thing for the hive Knight that followed
immediately after my original thought
was wow you have to use all three of
your melee charges to get a suspension
what a garbage fire exotic but the full
exotic text is way more detailed targets
that are damaged by Arcane needle emit a
suspending detonation when defeated so
just to clarify before even finishing
that sentence if you hit an enemy with
just one needle and then kill them with
any weapon boom suspending detonation
already that is so much better than what
I thought it was reading on Landing
multiple Arcane needles on the same
Target immediately triggers a larger
more powerful detonation defeating
suspended targets Grant melee energy and
your Arcane needles are strong on
barrier Champions because you only need
to damage an enemy with one needle then
kill them to get a suspending detonation
and you get melee energy back for doing
so this is actually kind of a really
free ad clear exotic with the right
build crafting it could be an incredibly
easy suspend everything in the room
build and because Arcane needle is on
the table for prismatic this can work
with Prismatic warlock or strand on top
of that because this is good on barrier
Champions if you have a suspend grenade
this exotic chest piece and a fusion
rifle with chill clip congratulations
you can now solo handle every type of
champion in the game this might be one
of the first Prismatic builds I try to
figure out on warlock playing with it
was damn satisfying to the point where I
kind of feel bad for blasting that
exotic so hard on Twitter when I first
saw it next up The Wishful ignorance
Titan gauntlets which look insanely cool
designed wise I mean exotic perk wish
dragon's Talons gain an additional
frenzied blade charge frenzied blade and
flet storm briefly increase their damage
with each strike Pulses from your banner
of War return melee energy based on the
number of allies healed unfortunately
that second part wasn't really something
I could actively test while at Bungie
hey y'all I know we have extremely
limited time to play pre-released final
shape content but who wants to you know
join a private lobby and test the return
on melee energy Factor on The Wishful
ignorance anybody anybody at all but
yeah the other stuff is straightforward
the numbers on Wishful buff to the
frenzy blade seems to be as follows 20%
extra damage for your second melee 50%
for your third and plus 100% damage on
your fourth combined with what Bungie
has shown us we're capable of rolling
with on Prismatic Titan AKA melee heavy
aspects like knockout and consecration
combined with recent patch notes
mentioning how both of these are getting
buffed in PVE and go ahead and add this
exotic with the frenzy blade melee on
top you might be able to smack enemies
really really hard in the final shape
again a lot to talk about with Prismatic
in an upcoming video unfortunately flet
storm does not seem to be on the table
for prismatic Titan at the moment but
the buff damage to that was also pretty
respectable short version is I'm really
interested in seeing if some Min maxing
boss cheesing Shenanigans can somehow
get squeezed out of Prismatic Titan and
these gauntlets but I need to spend a
little bit more time with them first
next the balance of power Hunter exotic
leg armor exotic perk Double Down your
threaded Spectre has increased duration
and durability and damaging it releases
additional thread Lings while near your
threaded Spectre you do not appear on
the radar this one is interesting and
I'm really looking forward to using it
in PvP and you should too if you're a
strand Hunter main especially after that
ins snaring slam Nerf sorry frostbolt
anyway when dropping a spectre with this
exotic you'll be able to see two little
green orbs kind of floating around and
orbiting the Spectre each one
representing one additional thread Ling
shooting the Spectre a tiny bit at a
time will cause the threadings to come
out one at a time but if you just
destroy it outright Four come out total
two from the base Spectre and two from
the additional thread Lings you could
definitely use this in PVE but I'm
thinking this will be really mean in PvP
bait enemies on the radar let them run
into it or destroy yourself and give
them the four worm salute
straightforward but devious next the
Warlock exotic helmet speaker sight nice
little shout out to a character I
genuinely kind of forgot existed exotic
perk the lost voice healing grenades
spawn a restorative turret healing
allies occasionally spawns an orb of
power the healing turret is literally
exactly what you think it is ever use
the edge of intent exotic glaive same
thing except now you get all the fun of
the healing turret without needing to
use a glaive apologies to the 13 glaive
Ms out there I offended with that joke
all in all not bad the turret lasted for
around 14ish seconds and was able to
fire out five tracking healing shots in
that time I do think I personally might
rather lean into more offensive options
for endgame PVE content but there's
definitely potential here especially in
encounters where maybe there's no big
DPS check and your fire team's main
problem is just staying alive also don't
forget the ability to occasionally spawn
orbs of power via healing your allies
depending on how generous that is being
able to spawn orbs via healing your
allies this could be a viable part of a
spawn a ton of orbs of power type build
again I do like to build into offense
but I'm going to keep this exotic nearby
just in case next the hunter exotic
chest armor gifted conviction exotic
perk the gift of certainty activating
Ascension or Tempest strike throws
bouncing explosives at nearby Targets
that jolt and damage them jolting nearby
Targets grants you damage resist I'm
going to be completely honest looking
back on my time playing pre-release
final shape my biggest regret is not
spending more time fiddling with this
exotic again time was short and we had
so much time in front of us there was no
way we were going to get every question
answered I can say with a lot of
confidence that the first part of gifted
conviction to me right now is kind of
okay cool but not mindblowing throwing
out little free explosions and jolting
nearby enemies on command yeah that is
cool but we do have other ways to jolt
enemies that don't require the use of
your class ability the really
interesting thing to me though is that
second part jolting nearby enemies
grants incoming Dr looking through my
footage I seem to get a lot of resist
time 2 if that's the same level of Dr
you get as the Stag which also gives
resist time 2 that that would mean
gifted conviction gives you plus 25%
incoming Dr which if you think about it
is kind of great literally free Dr for
just using your Hunter Dodge I might use
that for some solo content down the line
here's a big question I don't yet have
the answer to though it doesn't say
jolting nearby Targets via Ascension or
Tempest strike it just says jolting
meaning in theory if you were jolting
everyone in the room with something like
an eolos SMG with volt shot and that
alone was flat out giving you incoming
Dr that would make this armor actually
pretty spicy for endgame PVE content as
that might mean NeverEnding free Dr
there's testing I need to do when final
shape drops but here's what I do know
right now the Dr value seems to stack
depending on the number of enemies
jolted or hit and the overall duration
seems to be about 10 seconds which is
actually kind of nice it does seem that
the Dr timer won't be extended or reset
if you jolt enemies after it's already
been activated which kind of makes sense
as that would be very broken but again
stay tuned when the final shape launches
if you can proc that damage resist on
any jolt at all my rating on this armor
is going to go up by a lot finally we
come to the Exotic that I'm probably the
most interested in at launch the
Hazardous propulsion exotic perk danger
close weapon Precision hits or final
blows have a chance to load a kinetic
Exodus rocket activating your class
ability fires loaded Exodus Rockets
damaging targets with Exodus Rockets
temporarily increases the damage you
deal with all other Rockets right at the
gate holy this exotic is fire the
chance to load a kinetic rocket after a
headshot or final blow is very high
going into a law sector to get buff
numbers I filled up on Rocket charges
very quickly each and every time you max
out at six and when you launch them
their tracking is very good and their
damage on their own is respectable I hit
Carl at 31,8 45 damage a piece for a
grand total of 191,000 70 damage for the
record that is more damage alone than
the buffed rocket I used to actually
shoot at Carl which was
11,867 damage so basically every few
moments as a Titan you can just fire a
Rock Solid amount of damage during
combat completely for free but let's
talk about the part where damaging
targets with Exodus Rockets temporarily
bumps up the damage you deal with all
other rockets in firing a regular truth
rocket at Carl I dealt around
87,3 n damage at Max Exodus Stacks my
buffed rocket then hit Carl for
11,867 damage meaning if the numbers
don't change at launch of the final
shape this exotic Buffs your outgoing
rocket launcher damage by 35% at Max
stacks for 10 seconds again didn't have
the time to test as much as I wanted but
I'm going to assume slh hope that
because this is exotic armor that buff
might stack with empowering Buffs like
radiant which would be really
interesting by the way I did also get to
test this with Galler horn and from what
I can tell it does seem to buff the
damage of Wolfpack rounds to my hope is
that if a teammate using ghorn gives
your legendary rocket launcher wolf pack
rounds and you activate this exotic
armor your rocket and wolf pack rounds
will all get upped by
35% at maximum stacks for 10 seconds I'm
telling you with a fair amount of
confidence that this exotic is very much
going to be a thing oh and I in on the
cake I don't have footage of it but a
Creator friend of mine also at the event
told me that he tested it with rocket
sidearms and the buff applies to those
two meaning one of my favorite PvE
weapons ever the indebted kindness in
theory is going to get buffed by this
exotic God damned insane again ring the
notification Bell because I got more
final shape preview content coming today
and tomorrow and you don't want to miss
it let me know your thoughts down below
and swing by my live stream if you have
any questions I can talk about now that
the Embargo is over thanks very much for
watching peace
