officially secure the Republican
nomination as early as March 19th last
night Trump called for
Unity we have a great Republican party
with tremendous Talent

going to have unity and it's going to
happen very quickly and I have been
saying lately success will bring Unity
to our
country in an act of unity this morning
Republican Senate minority leader Mitch
McConnell endorsed Trump writing quote
it is abundantly clear that former
president Trump has earned the requisite
support of Republican voters to be our
nominee for president of the United

that as nominee he will have my support
this is now a general election race new
Fox News Power Rankings have Trump ahead

and President Biden will be holding
dueling rallies in Georgia this Saturday
ahead of the primary there Harris all
right it's on like Donkey Kong good to
see you Brian thank you kellyan Conway
former counselor to president Trump and
Fox News contributor so you always come
with a healthy dose of don't get ahead
of yourself what are you watching for
I'm watching for the cage match rematch
that despite the fact Americans say they
don't want they actually do want you
know for 24 straight years without
interruption Harris this country had a
bush or a Clinton on the presidential
National ticket from 1980 to 2004 and
again in 2016 with Hillary Clinton we go
to McDonald's and Chick-fil-A in the
minivan every night in order number four
uh we like to say we're revolutionaries
we want more choice and options and
change but with so much chaos and crisis
everywhere we look at our own Southern
Border in our communities and
neighborhoods at the gas pump in the
grocery store in the Middle East with
Iran with Putin and Ukraine uh people
are probably going to retreat to what's
most comfortable and familiar what does
that mean it means that right now
president Trump has an enormous
advantage in all the polls against Joe
Biden on the handling of the issues and
the poll questions I love the most that
we should keep our eye on between now in
November Harris are those that mimic the
questions we ask ourselves while we're
filling out that ballot and mailing it
in are going to The Ballot Box so the
ones that say who has helped to hurt my
family who has a vision for the future
who has a plan for the middle class who
has the energy and Acuity to do the job
having said that President Trump needs
to do better among what's called the
double haters in 2016 the campaign I ran
if you looked at the one of Voters who
did not care for either Hillary Clinton
or Donald Trump necessarily he beat her
by 40 points in Wisconsin by 20 points
in Michigan this time they're kind of
tied and Biden beat beat him in 2020
among that group and it all depends on
why you dislike each of them if you
dislike Joe Biden because you think he
has dementia or he doesn't have the
energy for the job or you're mad about
Afghanistan or inflation and anything
else if you don't like Trump's tone or
you don't like Trump's tweets or his
truth social watch him watch him last
night watch him in South Carolina where
he doesn't mention Nikki Haley's name
where he's trying to unify the party in
the Fox News poll that was released over
the weekend among independent voters
Harris they told Fox News pollsters that
20% of them think think Joe Biden has
mostly succeeded in quote unifying the
country 75% of Independents told Fox
News pollsters they think Joe Biden has
mostly failed there's an opening for
Nikki Haley and Donald Trump to come
together the burden's on her though the
burden is on her though to come to the
Republican nominate I hope that this
wasn't just a gap year for her between
all these highly paid speeches and
corporate board ships I hope she's
serious about beating Joe Biden getting
Republican back in the White House last
point that I haven't heard anybody say
except me last night she's a close
personal friender was of Jared and ianas
and it would be great if um some kind of
piece could be brokered here and she can
come back in and endorse the man that
she served as un Ambassador you are
always bringing stuff that we just
haven't thought of yet or thought much
about until you say it and what you're
saying is is she going to set up the
race with Trump is she going to go back
and then finally endorse and and I know
you believe it'll happen those that
double hater thing that's really we'll
get more into that and easy win last
night for President Biden yesterday but
more evidence of what could be a problem
in the general election the uncommitted
or no preference protest over his
handling of the Hamas of the Israel
Hamas War those non Biden votes spiking
from 2020 in the seven states where they
were on the ballot in Minnesota nearly
20% of the vote North Carolina more than
10% of the vote we saw Kelly and what
happened in Michigan yes over 100,000
people voted uncommitted now different
situations across the country I I don't
think this is being talked about enough
it's not just the Arab American Muslim
vote mad at the president it's not just
anti-israel why are you supporting
Israel and not fighting for people in
Gaza all that that's a very angry vote
Yes but it's a primary vote the one that
could stick is electric vehicles and all
the pressure that they put on automakers
in the state of Michigan they did and
they L literally have nothing to show
for it I think Joe Biden because people
don't want them they don't want them and
it didn't work out and it was a big part
of not just the build back better
nonsense but also the quote inflation
reduction act the green New Deal and he
still talks about it they they're so
focused on electric vehicles they don't
realize that unless people see the
fruits of your decisions where you're
spending money that we as a nation don't
have on things we didn't ask for and we
don't quite need if people don't see the
bridges repair the roads running
properly the electric vehicles that
everybody wants some hurts car rental
cancel their whole of it people aren't
this is not this is not affordable for
the average person um plus people don't
want the hassle but they went so far
into this I mean if you got Pete Buddha
judge who's the Secretary of
Transportation having watching uh air
traffic control shut down and leaning so
far into electric vehicles people think
you have misaligned priorities I think
that Donald Trump who won Michigan in
2016 first president first Republican to
do it since 1988 can do it again for
lots of reasons and Gretchen Whitmer the
governor got reelected there just last
year by double digits all right Kelly
and Conway I love it when you come in
thank you so very much for being in
focus and for having me the Georgia
district attorney Prosecuting Donald
Trump is back in the spotlight this is
live this is where we started this hour
it's what we're watching the Georgia
State Senate is holding a hearing on
fonnie Willis's affair with the
prosecutor she hired her favorite guy
Nathan Wade a judge is deciding if she
should be kicked off that case or both
of them for that matter and what does
happen to the case we'll bring you
highlights as we get them plus critics
are going after democrat's response to
the US Supreme Court's decision that
Colorado cannot kick Donald Trump off a
ballot specifically the primary
ballot the idea that a state could
unilaterally disenfranchise millions of
Voters across the country removing from
the ballot the choice of candidate from
Individual people just defies democ
focus of a Georgia State Senate special
committee state senators are digging
into Willis's possible misconduct and
her prosecution of President Donald
Trump in the state election interference
case they're talking with Ashley
Merchant who represents one of the
co-defendants of Donald Trump she's the
one that popped the top on this whole
case and now she is going before this
committee let's watch it live him to
verify the accuracy of what you were
claiming it happen I did not want to say
one word that had not been verified cuz
he was the source yes he's the guy that
was his law partner and his divorce
attorney yes who probably knew as well
as anybody in the state they had been
best friends also all right and so what
let's pull these up Senator DOA when did
you start you kept these text messages
somehow I did so I actually he um Mr
Bradley uses a Android I believe um and
so it it was it was not easy to just
download them and I'm not the most Tex
saavy person um I also there's a lot of
texts that just went into things that I
didn't think I thought would just
embarrass people people and weren't Rel
relevant so what I did was I
screenshotted the texts that I thought
were relevant um I tried to use those in
court but the prosecutor kept objecting
and saying I was hiding things because I
wasn't showing all of my texts so they
just kept on and on for days saying I
was hiding things I was hiding things
and I I explained to them I let him look
through my phone they scrolled through
all my texts who's they it was um Adam
abot was the prosecutor okay um so he
just kept saying you know that I was
where's the beginning of that text
where's the thing after that where's the
other part of that text um these aren't
complete you know rule of completeness
kept objecting and I had just
screenshotted the texts that I thought
were highly relevant but weren't
slanderous I guess I don't even know the
word but you know there were some that
that like you know that Miss Willis's
daughter had failed out like things like
that they were just ugly they didn't
need to they didn't need to be admitted
oh yeah I read that we I had just I had
tried really hard to just screenshot the
relevant ones but they kept saying that
I was hiding stuff and I wasn't showing
the whole thing so when they objected to
my text coming in the screenshot
um they said they wanted the whole text
chain and the judge ordered me to if I
was going to admit the text to go figure
out a way to download all of them so I
bought a program for 20 30 bucks and
took three hours um and I was very proud
of myself for finally figuring out how
to do it um but I was able to make a
copy of it and then redact our phone
numbers so this actually showed like
when they're read when they're what were
you all right so up there on January 5th
at 9:50 a.m. mhm you're asking what what
do you read the question so so I'm
asking him do you think it started
before she hired him you're talking
about the affair yes the affair and
what's his response his response was
absolutely itug to admit the email where
I sent him that so um I sent him a copy
of the motion that weekend when I was
review when you know I wanted him to
review it and then he had a text he
didn't write me back by email but I I
submitted my email so that you could so
that the court could see exactly when I
sent it and when he responded and then
he responded that everything looked good
cuz I asked you know I said I'm sending
you this motion I need you to look at it
um and then he responded that everything
looked good in it he actually he
actually told me at first he wanted me
to make some changes because I had not
included the information about how much
money he had received I had only
included the information about how much
Wade had received and you know I didn't
know that it was it wasn't really highly
relevant to my motion um but he was like
oh that's going to tip them off that I'm
talking to you and I don't want he did
not want anybody to know that he was he
was talk talking um he was very
concerned about what I'm going to let
you just read through this chain okay
all right we left off up there um
absolutely it began before it began when
she was a judge in South Fulton when was
she a judge in South Fulton she became a
judge in August of 20 of
2019 and I did an open records I first
asked um actually I first didn't open
records and they all right so they're
going back and forth that was really
interesting actually we got to see how
the original text M messages between the
divorce attorney for Nathan Wade and
also his uh former law business partner
um was texting with this attorney for
Trump codefendant Ashley Merchant and so
now that we get to see when they were
opened what dates they were sent I mean
it's all out there and easy to
understand senior correspondent Jonathan
Siri is at the Georgia state capital in
Atlanta he's been watching as we have
been uh and monitoring since the hearing
began Jonathan what can you tell us that
specifically stands out at this point to
you yeah well the senate committee
hearing is learning more details about
what defense attorney Ashley Merchant
says she was able to learn about the
Romantic relationship between district
attorney fonnie Willis and Nathan Wade
her special prosecutor in the Georgia
election interference case let's listen
to some
highlights he said that they met at a
judici conference before he was very
specific that it was before she became
da cuz that was one of the things that
he could he couldn't remember when the
judicial conference was but he knew that
it was before she became da and he told
me you know they met at hotels um he
would go to her her place um and he's I
remember him saying you need to find her
um her bestie who they had a falling out
that's the person whose condo it was
that they would meet
at actually merch is an attorney
representing former Trump campaign Aid
Mike Roman Roman who was a codefendant
of the former president had filed a
motion with Merchant to have da Willis
removed from the case a judge is
expected to rule on that by mid-march
now the committee chairman today asked
Merchant whether she had reason to
believe that Willis or Nathan Wade were
coordinating with the Biden White House
over the course of the Trump
investigation
listen Open records for
the the White House access and we had
records that uh Miss Willis and the
mayor of Atlanta were at meeting with
the vice
president fonny Willis and Nathan Wade
have testified that they did not become
romantically involved until after she
hired him to help investigate the Trump
case in November of 2021 but as you
heard from uh Ashley Merchant's
testimony earlier today the defense is
ing that the romance started much
earlier than that Jonathan I just want
to get this straight because I've got a
former US attorney coming up next I want
to make sure I have my facts straight
what was the deal with a meeting at the
White House did you say the vice
president kamla
Harris uh said that several people were
meeting at the White House of course the
nature of that meeting was not expressed
it could have been some a democratic
event or a social event but the
implication that they're trying to get
at was that allegedly there may have
been some coordination with this case uh
but uh they don't have any hard evidence
of that at this point because the
receipts and this is something that
Ashley Merchant pointed out that Nathan
Wade submitted are very vague they just
mention that he met with white house
councel or met with white house but
doesn't go into any detail as to what
the meetings were okay I got it thank
you Jonathan very great reporting uh
Brett Tolman former US attorney and
former Senate Judiciary Committee
counsel I I do want to drill down just a
second on on the White House meeting and
and how that comes into play is that
purely politics or as a former US
attorney is it something that you look
at as information
what well I will tell you I think you're
right to be asking questions about it
and here's what the the public needs to
understand there's really no
circumstance for the white House Council
or anyone in the White House to go
anywhere near this if their goal is to
make sure that it is an objective review
of potential criminal activity of an
opponent of a political opponent if
however you are coordinating and you're
wanting to take down a a political
opponent that's Temptation that the
White House I think probably gave into
was to to have conversations and look at
the the four different criminal Cas most
of them at this point have had
conversations with the White House just
prior to charges being brought that's
not coincidence that's cordination yeah
uh all right I I wanted to hit that
because that seems to be a bigger issue
now that we're hearing about it in a
different venue a state senate committee
special Committee hearing and now you
get into what you just pointed out two
men battling it out and it takes you
back to what Donald Trump said days ago
when his US Supreme sueme Court Victory
happened 90 you can't keep his name off
a ballot no State can do that what he
said was stop using your your high power
President Biden of the doj and let's
fight this out between the two of us
it's very interesting to put that in the
context of was Nathan Willis were was
fonnie Wade was anybody or excuse me
Nathan Wade and fonny Willis was anybody
on that prosecutorial team particularly
those two lovers talking with anybody at
the White House so it's it is
interesting I'll continue to ask the
question uh all right real quickly your
Top Line about what's come out today and
when they met and what
matters well I think there's folks that
have been saying for some time now
what's the big deal why you know so what
so they have an affair does that really
uh does that really impact the
underlying criminal investigation here's
why it does Harrison why it's so
important you have a legitimate inquiry
into the ethics of the sitting da you
have to know whether or not there's a
compromise to those ethics because that
brings into question her prosecutorial
discretion whether she was capable of
exercising it
appropriately then when she lies about
their Affair now you have a bigger issue
now you have potential obstruction of
justice right now what should be
happening in the next few weeks you
should have a criminal investigation
open for obstruction of justice and an
Ethics investigation for lawyers who are
willing to lie in the courtroom uh Brett
Tolman always great to have you thank
you very much for handling the breaking
news with well what will we learn about
the border and the nation's other crises
at tomorrow night's State of the Union
Address I think what you'll see in the
State of the Union is a massive effort
to shift blame because that's what Joe
Biden seems to be doing most of the time
blaming other people that illegal aliens
who committed theft offense
as lak's alleged murderer did cannot be
shielded by the lack immigration
enforcement policies of the Biden
Administration how many more bills named
after victims of illegal alien crime
must the house consider before Democrats
and the Biden Administration act to
secure our borders and prevent other
senseless tragedies like this one the
bills that name
Americans as victims of illegal
immigrants say their names while
Congress is now working to prevent
another tragedy like lak Riley's murder
the president has yet to utter her name
Republicans are challenging him to do
just that tomorrow night at the State of
the Union Address but the white house
looks like it's
dodging I do want to always acknowledge
and extend our deepest condolences uh to
to her family and to her friends and the
people who who loved her I don't have
anything to share about the president's
speech as it relates to that particular
question that you have uh but we you
know we want to always uh always be sure
that we left lift up the families who
have lost their loved ones in that way
the president State of the Union Address
will be the latest one ever delivered
Politico is billing it as seriously high
stakes the Biden team seems to be hoping
the speech will reset or neutralize
concerns about his mental Fitness
however Brit Hume and our own Fox Family
thinks that's a pretty big
ask I've always thought that the age and
acity issue was a ticking time bomb and
one of his challenges on Thursday night
Brett I think is what would be whether
he can assuage the concerns of those
even within his own party who think and
say that he's too old for the job
Republican Congressman Mike McCall of
Texas chairs the house Foreign Affairs
committee and serves on the house
Homeland Security committee great to
have you in Focus first of all tomorrow
night does the president need to say the
name of lak and
Riley he should uh he should U hit this
head on it was a tragedy what happened a
Venezuelan they came in illegally got
arrested several times and then raped
and killed this beautiful
22-year-old girl you lakan Riley and uh
but I don't think he will Harris uh he's
going to want to stay away from that
he'll probably talk about the Border he
has to it's a 90% political issue uh if
he fails to address that he's completely
absent awall from the American crisis
that's happening right now you know the
suspect that you mentioned in the lake
and Riley murder has something in common
with many that we're seeing right now in
terms of violent crime and it is the
Border as the central point the illegal
Crossing breaking our Sovereign law
committing a crime just to get into the
country I don't think though the
president will go there I think he'll
tout his recent visit to Brownsville
which was fairly empty at the time but
then since we've learned that illegal
aliens who committed theft offenses as
lakan's alleged murderer did cannot be
shielded by the lack immigration
enforcement policies of the Biden
Administration how many more bills named
after victims of illegal alien crime
must the house consider before Democrats
and the Biden Administration act to
secure our borders and prevent other
senseless tragedies like this one the
bills that name
Americans as victims of illegal
immigrants
say their names while Congress is now
working to prevent another tragedy like
lak and Riley's murder the president has
yet to utter her name Republicans are
challenging him to do just that tomorrow
night at the State of the Union Address
but the white house looks like it's
dodging I do want to always acknowledge
and extend our deepest condolences uh to
to her family and to her friends and the
people who who loved her I don't have
anything to share about the president
presid speech as it relates to that
particular question that you have uh but
we you know we want to always uh always
be sure that we left lift up the
families who have lost their loved ones
in that way the president's State of the
Union Address will be the latest one
ever delivered Politico is billing it as
seriously high stakes the Biden team
seems to be hoping the speech will reset
or neutralize concerns about his mental
Fitness however Brit Hume and our own
Fox Family thinks
that's a pretty big
ask I've always thought that the age and
acity issue was a ticking time bomb and
one of his challenges on Thursday night
Brad I think is what would be whether he
can assuage the concerns of those even
within his own party who think and say
that he's too old for the job Republican
