it's almost back to the way it should be
and that's why we're going to record now
those don't know last week I had a
little uh incident a little injury in
one of my hockey games I took a I took a
buck to the throat and I haven't been
able to talk for about a week it's still
not 100% but it has gotten a lot better
than it was so please excuse a little
bit of gravel in my voice as I do the
final stages of healing we got a lot of
fun things to do today that I'm very
very excited about including a major
project that is going to involve
acquiring more of this and the reason we
need more Redstone is because the raid
Farm is going to be no more raid farms
in general are going to be no more
they're getting nerfed in 1.21 and I'll
be honest they're pain to use I keep
getting killed by I have to be like it's
just it's just a horrible process so
today we're going to come up with a
brand new farm that is going to get us a
lot of red stone and all we got to do is
stand there and the best part about all
this is I don't think anyone has made
this Farm before or at least made it
quite the way I'm going to make it today
but before we get to that we have some
business to take care of today first uh
we hooked up our post office yesterday
but to be like officially on the grid
and connected we got to head over to the
post office and meet up with the
postmaster and uh maybe score some free
stamps that'd be honest knock knock

going to build this new Redstone farm
and it's going to be over by where we
have our raid Farm uh interestingly
enough it has nothing to do with the
raid Farm we're heading out here because
there's a villager Outpost nearby right
over here and you guys you're going to
have to forgive me because I actually
have kind of started some of the grunt
work on this project already uh because
you know there was a couple days where I
actually couldn't talk I couldn't make
sounds I sounded like poo bear so I
figure at least like make my time useful
and let's get started on this project so
we got little spawning platforms here
and we did this over here in a live
stream we have a super insano villager
breeder over here yeah so I got three
individual villagers or three individual
uh breeding areas with six villagers in
each one farmer in each to get the
carrots out I fell I fell again I'm a
villager now where was I one farmer in
each to pick up the carrots and share
them with the other guys the babies will
try to go to the beds over here they
will fall down the hole and they will go
into the thing and when they grow up
they're stuck in there waiting for their
future endeavors now listen listen
before we get started on this project
today this project is going to require
an astronomical amount of villagers in
the in the hundreds basically uh listen
so I know that's a thing that causes lag
I'm aware of this okay I'm going to be
monitoring the server performance and
I'm only going to run this farm when no
one else is online yada yada yada we're
not going to break the server okay all
right so to explain how this uh little
little farm is going to work I'm here in
a creative test World here okay we're
going to get a villager in there and I'm
going to go ahead and make him a cleric
go ahead and cleric ify thank you very
much so we're going to be making a hero
of the Village Farm here now the hero
the village is it hero of the Village
Hero Of The Village I think that's what
it's called hero the village is a buff
you get when you defeat a raid and
you've killed at least one of the
pillagers in that raid now the effect
normally lasts 40 minutes I'm going to
go ahead and just simulate it and give
it to myself here it's for an infinite
now what happens this is what a lot of
people don't know is once you get within
five blocks of a villager and you have
hero The Village then exactly 30 seconds
after that they will throw you a little
sample product of their Wares depending
on what class this is a cleric he has a
50-50 chance of either throwing me a
piece of lapis or a piece of redstone
kind of has his way of saying you know
what thanks for letting those ravagers
not eat my face off which is super
generous now so once we've done waiting
here you should see we're going to get a
sample from him in just a second don't
say no to me come on give me the G there
it is there it is so that was exactly 30
seconds he tossed me a single piece of
of redstone and that's all fine right I
get it like woo a single piece of red
stone wow and the main reason that no
one's really tried to utilize this to my
knowledge someone has probably done this
if so please let me know I did not find
anyone who's done this in my brief uh
searches but I believe the reason no one
has ever really tried to utilize this is
because after they throw one single
piece of item they their cool down
updates to another 30 seconds however
this time and all subsequent times it
adds another 0 to five minutes onto that
cool down so now if I wanted to get more
Redstone or more lapis from this guy I'd
have to stand here between 30 seconds
and 5 minutes and 30 seconds which is
quite a long time however however that
cool down that added cooldown is stored
with his particular AI If instead I go
into The Nether and then wait a second
and then come back sorry guys and I come
back here that's a new villager that
Villager has been recreated and that
means he's got a fresh 30 second
guaranteed timer right now so what does
all this mean it means that about every
30 seconds we can get either one piece
of lapis or one piece of redstone from
every single villager we have we have
contained now if I put a couple hundred
clerics in there you guys can see where
this is going all right so back on the
server now we need to kick the whole
process off by obviously getting the
hero of the village buff the way to do
that is to initiate a raid and to defeat
that raid in a very convenient way we're
going to be way up in the sky and
anytime we when the raid starts all the
raid members all the pillages are going
to spawn way down on the ground below us
and they're going to be outside of 128
blocks whatever and they're going to
just instantly despawn makes the raid
pretty easy to defeat that way okay big
update I got all kinds of red St stuff
up there that's pretty much where the
the bulk of the the magic will happen
we'll go up there in a little bit we've
got our bubble Vader to take our
pillagers up to the top and then a
Cobble wall strip to signal from the top
down to the bottom so that I can turn
the lights on and off so uh we have two
spawnable platforms here top one has got
the Redstone on it to light the lights
and then obviously that if I could go
down here that is going to light the one
down here as well so when those lights
are on the whole plat you know both
platforms turn on uh we need to get two
villagers uh one in there and one in the
next level up there the pillagers when
they spawn they can see villagers like
from to like 64 blocks away or something
just absolutely stupid so they can spawn
like out here and see that villager and
run over toward him and when they do
they want to get within eight block
range so they're going to try to
pathfind through the bubble Vader and
that is going to scle them all the way
up to the top attempting to get villager
number one in there let's see if
it with it with the button and and the
go did I not use a dispenser what are
you wait what why is he not you oh no
the lever down there is powering the
dispenser how embarrassing for me all
right hold on one second uh we'll do
that we'll do this we'll do that we'll
break that and then let me see this
should not be that is not triggered
anymore okay let's try that one more
time we press the magic button of

villagers all the way up the bubble
Vader now normally this bubble Vader is
going to be for pillagers but we're
repurposing it right now for uh for
villagers so with these guys things are
a little bit different now this is where
we're going to bring in probably a
couple hundred villagers up there and
each one of them I need to make a cleic
so a cleric sorry I always pronounce
that word wrong uh we're going to press
this button here we're going to get a
guy we're going to bring him over here
he's going to pause right here hello do
the thing notice the thing okay and then
all I got to do is trade with him one
time and then he will be he'll be a
cleric forever and I can send him on his
way so this that's what this little temp
station is here I'm basically bring a
guy down trade with him give him like
one Emerald for two Redstone and then
send him on his way okay I got my
emeralds trade trade trade you're done
you're good press the button send him on
his way and hopefully I redirected this
all correctly now you should go up the
bubble
Vader thank you very much and the car
goes into the barrel I'll return those
let's go see how he's doing up top there
there he goes there he goes and over and
get dropped and perfect he's in the
perfect spot now with the vines so
Collision detection is off I can stack
as many as I want in there all right so
I got three of them up here it's enough
for me to at least test this to see if
the system is going to work here so let
me see if I can explain what is going on
here eventually all this it'll be gone
it'll be a little bit cleaner up here
but the idea now is uh I flick that
lever that sends the signal down turns
the light off down in the spawn uh spawn
levels down below and eventually some
pillagers will start coming up here
namely a a captain with a banner when I
kill him I get bad Omen and because I'm
standing next to a villager it'll start
the raid right automatically uh
obviously though in 1.21 when that comes
out I won't even have to do that I could
just stockpile the bad Omen potions up
here and just drink one of those to
start the whole process so this will
still work in 1.21 so once the raid is
started all of the pillagers are going
to start spawning like somewhere way
down there or whatever uh but that's
more than 128 blocks away so they're
just going to despawn instantly and the
raid is going to end in a victory as
long as I kill one extra Pillager in
that little holding area right there
once that happens I will have hero of
the village and then we're going to
start a loop an automatic Loop I'm just
going to stand right there on that block
and all it's we're going to do is break
the portal here here wait 30 seconds the
the the clerics the stack of clerics are
going to throw a bunch of stuff at me uh
then the portal is going to relight
again and I'm going to go to the nether
once I go to the nether it's immediately
going to break the portal and reignite
it so I come back over here and then
back on this side again it's going to
start the process again it's going to
break this portal here it's going to
wait 30 seconds and then reignite the
portal for me to go back through again
and keep repeating and repeating and
repeating so that essentially I I'm just
getting a new stack of ceric every
probably 35 seconds or so you know
accounting for portal travel time so
there's a couple more things we need to
do before this is going to work here uh
when I teleport back over on this side
I'm going to need to get pushed out of
the portal so that I can stand or I can
at least touch that pressure plate there
and the way we're going to do that is
we're going to have a little boat here
okay and we're going to get a
chicken right here here here
here oh oh perfect get in the get in the
butat he needs to get in the boat get in
the there he goes perfect okay now
because we have an entity in the boat uh
the boat won't go through the portal
here so if I put this portal like right
up against here let me go to F5 and turn
this on I want to get this portal like I
want to get the boat in there without me
being in there I think that'll be good
enough I think that's good enough right
there so that now when I come through
the portal the boat's going to be like
Boop and it's going to push me out and
of course we need to do the same thing
on the nether side this is our receiving
portal where we're going to loot through
over here so let's get another Chicken
in here if I could just throw what if I
throw it up there there we go let's do

go there we go and get in the thing the
thing I got to push him I'm not very

perfect we get him in there uh let me
put a block there so I can push up
against it and we'll go right

now back there and there to block it in
and chicken's not going anywhere now now
other than the chicken butt pushing we
got some simple Redstone here that's
going to trigger lava to break the uh
the portal and then all we have over
here we have a whole bunch of uh flint
and steel here that are going to light
it again now what we're doing here is
this is our 30second timer we're going
to release an item right out of there
and it takes an item exactly 30 seconds
to go through a full piece of cobweb and
get caught in this Hopper here that'll
light the portal and then the little the
signal here will send it back up to the
elevator so we have a very simple 30
second timer right here okay so let's
see if this works I can almost guarantee
it won't let me stand here the thing
breaks the item spits out and falls
through the cobweb you can see it's
slowly descending through the cobweb
this is a 30second timer now keep in
mind during this time the cleric is
counting his 30 second timer so right at
30 seconds he's going to throw his items
they're going to fall down there and get
collected by hoppers down below and
right after that the item here is going
to fall into the hopper like so and it's
going to light the portal I should go
over the other side now hands are not
touching the keyboard I got booped out
the lava that worked amazing the lava
started the thing the portal goes I'm
back in still not touching anything it
it it it didn't work yeah okay that
should do it I fixed some of the I
simplified some of the Redstone down
there it should be it should be better

got his own bed I have seen him sleep in
that bed so I know he has claimed to
that bed and then I got like six guys in
there so we're going to give this a try
if this doesn't work uh I don't know
what's going on it's going to work it's
going to work trust me it's going to
work oh no oh no oh no no no no no no no
no I put them in the wrong guy in the
thing

no I forgot to redirect the path well
the raid started go I can't get out oh

the good news is the raid started and I
believe I'm about to get hero of the
village once the raid finishes it's
about to start another wave that wave
will automatically despawn I have killed
someone in this raid I think we'll be
good minus my idiocy they should despawn
automatically yep I just saw them down
there and raid Victory here the village
we have it once more villagers have been
replaced I've actually redirected the
water stream so that the guys will fall
down here it's going to work this time
just just like last time okay there's a
banner guy there's somewhere we kill we
kill we
kill uh hopefully oh and perfect we'll
kill this guy as the raid is going we've
already turned the the spawn off so we
should just be getting a few stragglers
here two remaining one remaining dead no
more guys from down below so now uh
let's just let's let's just get hero The
Village first and hero The Village I
love it okay we have 40 minutes of hero
The Village let's uh let's get it in
here now let's go stand
here this is it okay uh this first
iteration through isn't going to work

around okay now this is the first real
30 second counter here uh oh come on my
Redstone broke again okay I tried it
again hopefully this right I think it
may be like breaking every other time I
got to check my Redstone down there
anyways I just I just came through the
portal we should get these guys throwing
a few redstone dust and a few lapis
right before this guy falls into the
hopper which should be in about 10
seconds or so uh let's wait and see
please work oh there it is they threw
the stuff with the with the
stuff and then I go to the portal
automatically let's see if it works a
second time probably
not this one is working
it's the other one on the other side
this one's not working I think this
pressure plate signal isn't being
refreshed I think it's staying on I got
okay we're 90% working now this is
fantastic all right a few hours later
and we have 2
200 200 plus the one guy uh cleric in
here ready to do things by the way the
server is still running at 20 TPS so
still maximum performance FYI my frame
rate's taking a little bit of a hit but
other than that me that's not a big deal
really uh okay but the first issue we
have though is there are quite a few
villagers in there who are kind of like
uh here let me go let me go Chey cam
I'll show you quite a few villagers who
are kind of like floating here right and
those guys won't have line of sight to
me so I need to smash their face down so
I want to be extremely careful here this
may do some bad things if I'm not
careful uh let's put a piston right
there and we're just going to push some
solid blocks down uh let me grab one of
these guys and in theory now when I do
this these guys should just calmly be
pushed down into the vines I I hope I
might have to do this twice here goes

one I think we're okay did that do
anything
no okay the block is right there doing
it one more time we'll smash them down
but this is also the one that could
potentially cause problems please please
just work please just be be kind to me
for once thank you okay it worked it
worked they're
all excellent okay so now I can break
this I can break this and I can start

and there we go we are all cleaned up
200 villagers compacted in there uh one
extra over here to ensure that the raid
starts uh if if I said I wasn't
incredibly nervous right now I would be
absolutely
lying uh let's turn this on let's turn
this on and hope I don't I I redirected
everything they should fall right down
here everything should be good are they
coming up they should be coming up and
both my clerics are dead again please
hold and once more here we go I've lost
all confidence in this actually working
we'll just see what the next problem is
how about that Captain right away let me
turn this off let me do hey stop
shooting me let me do some slashy slashy
here the raid has started let me just
kill these guys off one more here he
comes and you're dead you're you're
extra dead okay now the extra raids will
spawn I'm going to go ahead and actually
let's wait until I have hero of the
village you can see them spawning down
there and
Victory is at hand let's go and we go
let the process start first batch of
goodies should be showing up in a second
or am I going to portal first okay the
timing was off on the first run through
there it
is so much red and blue and we go
through the portal I got to tweak these
timings probably not touching anything
hands off the keyboard I should go back
in the process starts again oh this is
the thing of beauty and another 30
second starts with brand new fully
loaded uh clerics with a new 30-second
timer instead of a 5 and 1 half minute
timer this is insane all right I've been
running the farm for a bit now running
into like quite honestly a lot of
problems and I had to redesign a lot of
things you can see the the chicken in
the boat is out on this side right now
what was happening is I would stand when
when the pressure plate was there the
pressure plate was over here I would
stand on it but I think what was
happening is I was going through the
portal in the Nether and coming back in
here before the chunks could unload so
therefore the pressure plate was like
still down and when I came back in it
was it wasn't getting another update so
the system was jamming up there we had
other problems the uh we're we're
actually getting too many items for one
hopper to take so I had to add a double
Hopper intake system because once I went
through the portal like two or three
times like just tons of items were just
backing up on top of there so now we
have uh we have double intake there to
solve that problem so getting the right
system here to to get me like to break
the portal but then to push me back into
the portal took a long time like more
than I care to admit it was a lot so
what we got now is the I land on the I
come through right there the boat pushes
me out just enough to touch the pressure
plate the Piston then pushes me back in
just enough where I don't touch the boat
but I'm no longer on the pressure plate
it's like just perfect and that triggers
the system off and over here you can see
we got we have two pickles I tried
everything I tried chests I tried anvils
I tried grindstones I tried walls I
tried everything and then finally it's
the two pickles that was just the right
distance to make this work just absolute
Insanity so here you can see the farm
working pretty much 100% correctly I did
a little time lapse I sped it up and I
cut out the the 30 second wait time
between but you can see I'm perfectly
looping through the nether automatically
coming back and every time those guys
throw their little bit of of red and
blue that's 100 red stone and 100 lapis
that's automatically being block IFI up
you can see the boat pushes us just
perfectly out the portal we get pushed
right back in the whole system is
working pretty flawlessly right about
now and to get to the important part now
this is our loot so far you can see it's
almost even I think I think there's a
little bit more lapis cuz I probably
picked up some Redstone by accident uh
but you can see that is that is not too
bad right there and this is this is
getting about 100 Redstone every 42
seconds you know 42 seconds is to
accommodate going to the portal and back
every time so it's about a 42 second
Loop that equates to about
8600 Redstone every hour so quite
honestly I'd say that'll do for the
Redstone that'll do well you know what I
had a lot more planned for this episode
but that project turned out to be way
way more involved than I anticipated but
before we wrap it up today I do want to
show you some of the stuff we've done
here we added two little features fe uh
little little steam bunky features to to
the base here which I absolutely love we
got Minecart Track system so instead of
the mine carts just going completely
behind the scene now we got them coming
over this like little jump here and then
they just go real slow across here and
go through the little uh there's a
there's a banner there like a little
conveyor belt flap that they go through
and you'll notice this light right here
toggles every time they they every time
they make the little jumpo I love it and
more importantly this guy right here we
did in the live stream this is a binary
counter we added every time a mine cart
goes behind it you can see it's
incrementing smallest increment number
on the left it just went to two next one
will light up right there and now
actually this will clear those and it
should light up that one yeah so we have
a little binary counter here when it
gets to the end it Loops over absolutely
tons of fun and it fits the fits the
whole vibe in here pretty good I think
but very soon we're going to get a roof
on here we're going to detail this I
think I'm going to put like a giant gear
or something right here I'm not sure uh
the space is a little limiting for what
I want to do but I got some ideas there
and then I'm already thinking about
archways and just this this Hall here
and how we can give this depth and
perspective a great look I'm super
excited about this but as the sun sets
so too must this video it is late and uh
you can tell my voice still isn't 100%
