Transcripts
there's a crisis at the border what
would you do if you are elected we have
to seal it up go back to my program we
all felt that border was a complete
disaster myself
included and Chad you remember covering
the phases we went through first it was
an effort to make law which requires you
to deal with
Democrats and then a number of our
members thought it wasn't good enough
and then our nominee for
president didn't seem to want to to do
anything at all that took months yeah so
what's what's wrong with Congress then
Congressman I mean why can't you
actually move the needle on securing the
board I understand you need a a willing
partner on the other side and you
haven't had that but it's it's
frustrating to see all of these illegals
coming in and the drugs flowing in and
really no no
movement uh the problem is the
Republicans not the Democrats oh that's
going to hurt the best part of this is
you know this wasn't the answer she was
expecting I mean just watch the eyebrow
raise that will tell you enough we know
how the Democrats are going to vote it's
too many of my Republican colleagues are
unwilling to vote to secure the Border
idler says shoot why did I even ask that
question or it tells you that the
Murdoch minions are screaming in her ear
cut to commercial as Republicans look to
H in on the pertinent issues impacting
everyday Americans this week the war on
appliances Democrats were on hand to
remind the American people that that
this is where their taxpayer dollars are
going fight the war on gas stoves make
refrigerators great
again and so I just urge my Republican
colleagues to partner with us if you
want to push back against overreach push
back against the
prutin extreme overreach on your side of
the
aisle it doesn't want to defend
democracy and freedom here and abroad
it's undermining
it and we extend
the hand of partnership as we've
repeatedly done to solve real problems
for the American people but those
problems have nothing to do with the
Dignity of dishwashers the freedom of
refrigerators or the liberty of laundry
let's get back to doing the real
business of the American people vote
no against this legislation that's right
do nothing Republicans who are breaking
records for the least amount of bills
passed can't even agree on their own
fake outrage schemes and have failed at
their sham impeachments C1 2 and 3 for
example one client and they brought all
of this nonsense into this room
promising evidence of impeachment and
they've delivered zero but you know who
has actually
delivered the FBI because they keep
arresting the best Witnesses they have
for their own work on behalf of Russia
and China
so they bring these Witnesses they make
these allegations and the FBI says
actually the guy that you're relying on
he's been telling you lies that have
been fed by Russia their own
intelligence committee chairman this is
a republican said that most of the
claims going on in this building about
Russia on their side is Russia
propaganda being filtered to them by the
Russians the autopsy report on their
impeachment investigation but the
president certainly deserves to hear
this in light of Republicans producing
absolutely zero on impeachment let's
just decare from here forward until they
put up some evidence that Joe Biden has
been acquitted of every single Maga
smear are holding hearings on gas stoves
again and when Texas Republican Keith
self was asked about the current state
of affairs in Washington live on Fox
news of all places it is crystal clear
that host Maria bomo had no idea that
this was about to come out of his mouth
and as you can tell she swiftly
regretted asking the question just
seconds into his handsaw yeah so what's
what's wrong with Congress then
Congressman I mean why can't you
actually move the needle on securing the
board I understand you need a a willing
partner on the other side and you
haven't had that but it's it's press
frustrating to see all of these illegals
coming in and the drugs flowing in and
really no no
movement uh the problem is the
Republicans not the Democrats we know
how the Democrats are going to uh vote
it's too many of my Republican
colleagues are unwilling to vote to
secure the Border but the thing is he's
absolutely right and don't take my word
for it let's listen to lead Republican
negotiates are unsaid by partisan
legislation on the southern border and
what he had to say on who was at fault
for the bill failing Senator Mike Lee
said not only does he say he need three
weeks to read through it he said no
self-respecting Senator should agree to
vote on a 370 page bill this week any 41
Senators can prevent the bill from
proceeding if you agree that Senator
should have this bill for at least a few
weeks and certainly more than a few days
before voting on it say so uh you
understand where he's coming from right
don't you guys have a procedural vote
this week you going to vote on the bill
by the end of the week so we actually
have this bill came out yesterday Sunday
uh the first procedural vote is
Wednesday and that procedural vote is
literally just open it up to be able to
go through it and to be able to say are
we going to debate it this week that's
what Senator Lee is actually talking
about it's interesting that he said he's
already opposed to it he needs three
weeks to be able to read it but he's
already opposed to it uh so again people
have got to be able to read it go
through it themselves don't just go off
a Facebook post somewhere what the bill
says this dramatically changes Asylum it
dramatically changes deportations we no
longer have a 10-year backlog it builds
more wall those are the key things that
it actually does but read it for
yourselves don't just believe what's
online May a policy differences some of
them have been very clear with me they
have political differences with the bill
they say it's the wrong time to solve
the problem or let the presidential
election solve this
problem in fact I had
a popular
commentator four weeks ago that I talked
to that told me flat out before they
knew any of the contents of the bill any
of the content none nothing was out at
that point that told me flat out if you
try to move a bill that solves the
Border crisis during this presidential
year I will do whatever I can to destroy
you because I do not want you to solve
this during the presidential election by
the way they have been faithful to their
promise and have done everything they
can to destroy me in the past several
weeks and don't just take his word for
it let's listen into what former
Republican representative Ken Buck who
opted to retire early instead of wasting
a single second more surrounded by the
Maga craze contingent that he used to
call his colleague that was all going
down I guess that didn't cause you to
rethink your decision not at all not at
all no rearview mirror happy to happy to
move on dysfunctional place I mean I
mean you you must have been pretty
intensely frustrated to not only not run
again but to but to leave early and
you're not alone obviously Mike
Gallagher just said he's leaving too
yeah well you know since this Congress
started uh there have been efforts to
impeach uh the Secretary of State the
Secretary of Defense the uh chairman The
Joint Chiefs of Staff the president the
uh attorney general the FBI director um
and in fact did impeach the director of
Homeland uh Secretary of Homeland
Security uh serious uh problems with
setting priorities we have a a a very uh
uh tragic cir IR an in Ukraine we have
um a a spiraling debt uh all kinds of
out- ofc control problems and we focus
on messaging bills that get us nowhere
and don't just take his word for it
let's actually hear what other outspoken
Republicans have had to say on just how
disgusted they are at the behavior of
their Republican colleagues he will
survive look the house is a rough and
rowdy place but Mike Johnson is going to
be just fine I served 20 years in the
military it's my absolute honor to be in
Congress but I sered with some real
scumbags look uh Matt Gates uh he paid
miners to have sex with him at drug
parties Bob good indors my opponent a
known Neo-Nazi these people used to walk
around with white hoods at night now
they're walking around with white hoods
in the daytime called him tubby it
sounds like uh actually I said kick
Rock's tubby yeah so the reason being
Matt Gates is a bully chip Roy is a
bully Bob Goods a bully and the only way
to stop a bully is to push back hard the
the majority of the majority the vast
majority of the majority is sick and
tired of these high school anti the only
thing I glean from it is that Mr van
Orton is not a particularly intelligent
individual disappoint are you at the
speaker um very I mean I'm I'm well past
the point of uh giving Grace here I
haven't made up my mind and don't just
take their word stop he's already dead I
think you get the picture it should no
longer come as a shock that Republicans
are speaking out against each other I
mean this is the same party that took
months to agree on what their 18th
speaker only to now discuss outing him
the turmoil has got so bad even those
within the conspiracy cocoons of Fox
News and Newsmax have had enough now I'm
going to move to an area which might be
a little tricky for a house Republican
like yourself Mike Gallagher leaving
next month Congress Ken Buck he's says
it's dysfunction he's gone the majority
is down to just one seems like
Republicans are in complete disarray you
can't do anything you still think that
you are in line to be Trump's Vice pres
no it's up to it's up to Donald Trump
he's the only person who will decide
this he's the only person who will
decide and I spoke yes I do speak to him
may I ask what he said to you about
being I never I never tell anybody my
personal conversations with did the dog
Story come up conversation I talk to
president Trump all the time the do
about a lot of things and right now I
tell you what he is being persecuted in
a political hunt Witch Hunt in this
court case so I'm proud of him about how
tough he is and how well he is doing did
you bring up dogart with Trump did you
bring inter is ridiculous what you were
doing right now so you need to stop it
is okay it is let's talk about some real
topics that Americans care about I'm
afraid we're out of time oh well of
course we are we do thank you for being
with us I know I pressed hard but that's
what people are talking about to this
day yeah governor no thanks for joining
us we appreciate it and a side note on
this interview by the way why is our PR
continuing to book these interviews I
mean it's just political seu at this
point when you look at all this it's no
wonder that Keith self said this live on
news because how could you possibly be
proud of this political party president
Trump has done nothing wrong
