cause and also support your girl as well
I bought a NASCAR on Facebook
Marketplace and today we are going to
get this car praised to find out exactly
how much this cup car is worth did I
lose a ton of money and over spend
$288,000 or did I possibly make a lot of
money and it's worth more than I think
and I need to find out for insurance
purposes anyways so Kurt who did the
appraise on the GT40 is here today to
appraise the NASCAR and he's a big Mopar
guy so this will be pretty exciting to
see he's here right now so let's bring
him in and show him the car hi
congratulations on the new place thank
you so much welcome welcome the
important parts back here so excellent
you remember the guys I remember yes the
NASCAR okay I think it's perfect you're
the big Mopar guy it's a Mopar NASCAR as
we mentioned before there's two
different types of appraisals right I
have found some comps okay um just
depending on what you found other
Nascars for sale have you 2006 uh
Chargers yes oh cool but are you looking
to use it for insurance yeah this is
purely for insurance purposes um I'm not
going to re be reselling this so okay um
do you have any receipts I do one second
okay I have a lot more paperwork this
time so you pulled comps for 20052 2006
Charger based NASCARs what were those
going for and those were Road Race
chassis was it like five figures or six
figures one of those five figures okay
and then the other ones were were you
know mid sixes some really so it's um
watch there's a world we don't cut this
car up right you're like that's a good
thing to learn yeah I'm to a point where
you can pop the hood if you want to okay
let's do it 812 horsepower R5 p7 built
by Ernie
Elliott race car every sticker is about
5 horsepower so we may as well call this
a th I've got Dino sheet I've got build
sheet I've got everything for this
speaking of impulse purchases on cars
you have no idea of their history
especially the ones you buy on Facebook
L at night definitely not guilty of that
I want to express how much I wish this
NASCAR came with a full history report
and a little foreshadowing the appraisal
came back with a major surprise I did
try to do as much homework as possible
but even with all the paperwork it's
full history was not what we thought it
was and unfortunately you can't run a
history report on an NASCAR so if and
when you find yourself looking to buy a
car how do you not end up like me and
get a full history we thankfully have
car vertical where you can see
everything on a car's history before you
buy not only is car vertical the most
complete vehicle history you can get
before you buy it is more affordable and
easier to use than the competitors with
their new website and app available it's
never been simpler to see the history of
your next vehicle 2 weeks ago I bought
the deal of a lifetime and picked up a
very special lamp
of course unlike the NASCAR before I
made the final decision to buy I pulled
up the history the odometer checks out
financial and legal status looks good
title check looks good damage looks good
this car is perfect knowing this
information before buying is worth its
weight in gold plus just for me they
upped their discount to 20% using my
discount code Amelia or hitting the link
in the description below one of my
favorite features is when you get a
history report you can just send that
link to anyone and they can access it no
need to download a PDF or anything dumb
like that like sending James my editor
the link so he can put in today's video
hi James I also love that they have
photos of the car if it was ever in a
crash so you know exactly what damage
you're dealing with if you are buying
Salvage which I know a lot of you
watching do buy your fair share of
fixers so definitely go check out car
vertical with the link in my description
and you can have 20% off using my
discount code it is a must so go check
it out now also thank you carvertical
for continuing to sponsor this channel
they have been such an incredible
support so go support those who support
us I'm want to take this by racing
before we do cut it up I think we got to
take down the drug strip and we got to
take it to like button will or some road
racing is it hard to get to that you
have to take off to take it off I think
it's just the on top is it in Better or
Worse condition than you thought it
looks fun yeah it looks fun that smile
says enough did I tell you what the plan
for this car is you're going to tear it
apart and I'm going to put it in my Rev
ply Superbird oh no kidding yeah so it's
going to be like a Richard Petty
inspired like NASCAR
Superbird that's pretty wild yeah you've
never appraised anything with this motor
before no not one that's Nas car
inspired no anything else standing out
to you on this oh this is interesting
what there's a spark BL down here oh
yeah just ignore
that okay the previous otor hooked up uh
propane to spits some fire oh God funny
you saw that yeah anything else you see
that you notice point out please if it
was driven on the California highways
though you'd never know what you'd find
underneath there this is true I will be
getting some new tires for this too okay
yeah isn't that crazy 2005 feels like it
was yesterday now this is an old car
this is almost a 20-year- old car you
have the Ste wheel yeah it's right here
yeah GeForce four-speed dog box
transmission straight cut how many point
rollar uh good question these are so so
sturdy no child seats trust me we need
one you see the rolled up uh moving
blanket in there I see the KN but it's
not hooked up it's not no no no that's
that's not actually hooked up okay
good okay let's take a look at the
paperwork ah the log book
perfect chances are you have not put
these like in a PDF file huh no I
haven't sry Chan doing that I can
probably do that just because it's so
big now have you found an insurance
company that'll write it um not yet but
that doesn't change the value right it's
not going to change the value but it
depends on which insured company writes
it okay on how they're going to assess
the the deals fair market value is where
we compare it to like kind cars okay
there's not going to be a lot of them
but there there's enough out there
Insurance allows us to take a donor
vehicle and add all the receipts to it
it so that you get replacement costs I
see Insurance appraisals are usually a
lot higher than fair market value
because we can prove what's been put
into the vehicle from the receipts to
rebuild it back and as long as the
insurance company agrees that's what it
would cost to rebuild it yeah I would
love to know what fair market value
would be on this as well just more so
curiosity cuz I mean I don't plan on
selling it and it's realistically going
to get cut up anyways but it'd be nice
to know just ballpark so what we can do
on this is you got a lot of
documentation here if we can get this
all out of PDF and add it up okay then
we'll know where we're at if we can even
do insurance so just by looking at it
and obviously I know you can't say for
sure do you think $220,000 was fair for
this car we'll find out my money's on
it's worth more than that yeah I'm
thinking so from what I've seen history
of The Naz cars I think you should be in
ballpark we'll see let me know if you
think it's maybe it's a bad idea to cut
this up yeah we'll see okay say on that
now is there a bill of sale or is there
anything to I have a bill sale but yeah
just what I paid for it okay on that is
there a frame number or any kind of
chassis number right here anything else
with the uh the vehicle that you got TR
or oh a case of
wine pretty cool no no no trophies they
hared you to to buy the car it was a
very expensive bottle of box of wine
I'll tell you
that did you drink the bottle of wine
before you ins the there might have been
something consumed when purchasing the
vehicle or at least inquiring about it
but the wine did in fact come after I
bought this at a Vineyard really yeah oh
that's pretty cool it was parked outside
well that's pretty cool this will get a
started okay and you know the routine be
about 5 to six business days okay and
then once you get it we can go over it
okay cool do you have any interest in
hearing it before you go
sure uh you're good
go it's SPS like hell yeah brother well
I will print out everything I'll put it
on a PDF we'll go from there yeah that
way if we go the extra the extra yard
and uh and do that then you can make a
more a more educated decision on what
you want to do with it best to keep it
together and and then put a different
motor into your Superbird have you
already acquired that oh yeah figures
okay do you want to see it yeah okay
let's go
look cool so you got glass yeah
everywhere yeah all the rest has just
been repaired
so the new floors no rust glass front
end mini tubs wow yeah it's a RL 21b 9A
what's that mean oh a b um I have what
does that mean these so I'm thinking it
might be a
225 it was a six-cylinder car might have
been a six-cylinder car in that case
they had to replace the K the kber um
lot there's a big controversy about that
do you have to replace the kber if
you're
doing if you're replacing a small block
to a big block you don't have to well I
don't know we're going to be keeping the
same K member to begin with but right so
so that's what I'm thinking underneath
they had to have replaced it if they got
what what's in it now you can lift it up
yeah there's nothing in there oh look at
that okay yeah looks like it was a slat
six that's cool right um cheers for
Rarity I guess but you still have it you
have a a fender tag so you make sure you
always keep that just in case um it's
probably not going to be anything close
to what you're going to come up with
this car but it's always tool to haveen
this will be a fun
car so NOC member on this car will not
be able to survive that 812 horsepower
no nor will the drive shaft nor will the
nor will the well the idea is L just
take everything out of the car and put
this body on it cool if You' already
done the measurements and everything
make sure yeah it's off a little bit on
the wheel base but but we can just cut
and extend that gotcha that's that's
pretty wild thank you the thing with one
offs is you never it's hard to Value to
put a value on them because you just
never know what somebody is going to
find desirable the purist are going to
be of course oh you rued a you rued a uh
a superb bird well in this case it's
it's a clone right so they they won't be
able to come at you too hard on that one
yeah this is cool thank you I'm glad you
got to see it I me too did come with any
interior or anything nothing okay this
was found is properly in a barn on an
abandoned property that a friend of ours
bought and what's on there is just
amazing thank you so much really
appreciate it so what you do with the
Camaro um it's going to Interior when
it's done I would love to have you come
up ra that that one we definitely want
to cuz that was and we've been talking
about it but he was like wait till after
the interior because it could really
help the value of the car and you may as
well see it when it's like a complete
thing right great cool all right thanks
again guys I'll be talking to you soon
thank you shout out to Kurt for coming
by and doing an appraisal on the NASCAR
you guys will know what he said in about
a few seconds I won't know for another 5
to 6 days I told you that'd be fast the
appraisal is here and get this turns out
I didn't buy the car I thought I bought
I thought I was buying a 20 5 Dodge
Charger NASCAR instead I bought a 2002
Dodge and trepid Kurt called me when he
found this out and was like Hey I just
want to let you know this isn't the car
you think it is and you guys know me I
was like wait really a little shock
factor finding out this was something
else but the million-dollar question is
what did it appraise at did I lose money
did I make money now before I get to
that answer I want to tell you guys what
this car is it is a 2002 Dodge and Tre
it is not the charger the Chargers they
raced in 05 the Intrepid they raced
before that this is a rich childrenis
built car with an Ernie Elliott engine
so this car is one badass mother James
BL that real quick shout out to Kurt's
team because this is like a book they
gave me a book with like a history
report with vehicle options with a
condition report with every photo that
you saw him taking included in the book
as well as statement of appraisal
limiting conditions etc etc in addition
to the noted condition this 2002
Intrepid has a very desirable option
package that includes the build V8 the
four-speed manual log book safety
chassis certifications this vehicle is
typical type of automobile that both
collectors and enthusiasts sought after
when looking to either add to or expand
their collection I like the photo of the
NASCAR than just the R34 GTR in the
background behind it so remember I
bought this cup car on Facebook
Marketplace and I paid
$28,000 for it the appraisal came back
for $
66,1 100 that is more than double what I
paid for the car I paid $28,000 for this
so boys I'd say we did a good job and
I'm still going to end up cutting this
car because we got the super bird back
I'm excited for this project thank you
guys so much for watching make sure you
caught the apparel it is live now and my
favorite collection yet e crew we out
here with love bye he
