Transcripts
hello everybody my name is Markiplier
and welcome to a difficult game about
climbing many people have compared this
to the arduous Adventures of Bennett F I
actually don't remember what when the
hell was the name of
that getting over it and so I've taken
some precautions since getting over it
to play this game which is apparently
somewhat difficult in that I've made my
chair much more difficult to throw and I
don't have a controller so I'm going to
be playing with my brain and my hands
and a keyboard and a mouse it
essentially is climbing which there was
a game uh about rings that actually
benett FY made if that is his name um
but this was not made by benti I don't
want to make that claim I don't anyone
get confused anyway climb
so climb okay all right not so
bad
oh okay so there doesn't seem to be any
kind of a grip meter so just the worst
thing in the world how do we do
this just like that it's not so bad does
this
spin nice nice oh not nice is this nice
can't tell if this is
nice
interesting ah
physics oh physics oh physics oh
okay
oh well you know oh no I hate this can
you dive oh I hate this is there any
benefit to being over here
no really is just a return okay well all
in all not that
bad
okay
oh it's
slippy I
see so it matters where you grab the
green is a little
slippery I see
fascinating okay I can do this at least
this one has more precise
controls that I can
appreciate whereas like Bennett
FY o didn't necessarily have what anyone
might call precise control
oh all right okay well the failure state
right now is not that bad so I'm not
even going to complain if I can skill
throw myself nope oh my
God okay just got to make sure you
firmly grasp
it yep
uh-huh and very manly grunt your way
up thrust with your fingers strong and
proud
okay woo
man I shouldn't be doing that oh oh okay
so when I throw myself I really got to
grab with both hands or else it's not
going to
work
okay all right yeah nice
nice oh not
nice
nice
okay okay it's good just can't do too
much for force on it or it's all going
to go crumbling
down
oh ah I
see oh
boy okay got it oh got it okay well this
is weirdly
satisfying I'm not even having a bad
time here can I grab the top of that
yeah well that's tricky I I shouldn't
have trusted that at
all
okay oh do I trust that yes I
do there we go easy no problem man my
fingers my mouse uh control thingies are
hurting oh man this is real tough
actually that is true actually whoa whoa
whoa where you going oh I don't know
about grabbing onto a bush doesn't seem
like the smartest
play but here I
am okay I must be pretty high up at this
point oh down really okay really am am
I ah I
see okay so is it better for me to start
like here
crap holy crap that was
awesome all right okay poison
uh H what what Dost thou mean he
poison or is that just death talking
about death or you talking about
poison only see let's investigate a
little
bit is there anything down here worth
looking at
okay grab that okay we might be in a a
spot of
bother
okay okay we're
fine so what I'm thinking is I got to
throw myself I'm not happy about it cuz
I'm pretty sure that this is going to be
an arduous thing maybe the reason that
they made this so wide is so that you
can practice right so if you practice y
oh
okay that's not great maybe I got to
yeah pull with both
hands
nope yep okay it's it's not quite like
benett fty where you pull you got to
actually go in the direction you want to
go
mhm okay maybe maybe big maybe on this
big huge maybe oh my
[Music]
God right back into it get back on the
horse that's what we do here oh boy this
is quite a return but maybe there's a
shortcut I kind of did go a little
faster before and I'm sure that with
this wheel it actually is probably like
a fling machine so if I were to use this
in its appropriate way and nope in its
appropriate way in its appropriate way
this a bad idea okay that's a bad idea
that's there is no appropriate way to
use that I'm I'm just stupid this would
be a lot easier with a controller I
recognize that right
now yep okay I think it's much better to
do
one-handed okay I think I got to go
around I don't think I'm of the level to
be able to do anything like that just
yet okay good good
good okay
okay why would I think that would be the
right way to go about
it okay oh my God hold on hold on hold
on this is where it all falls
oh my God oh my God go up how did I do
this
before I did this before right I think I
got to let go that's what I did before I
was
Fearless no this is bad I saved
myself oh boy oh there we go no I was
just
dumb
okay okay
y it's actually a bit more difficult
than it looks oh oh oh oh bad oh bad oh
bad oh bad okay there we
go
okay scary and my hand is cramping but
that's fine think of what this guy's
hand is doing and then it doesn't seem
so bad and everything seems good yipp
yep
yep
okay and this was easy it's
just okay that was not so
easy okay so how are the best way to get
some distance I probably got to be a bit
higher I think this bone is indicative
right okay come here you bone come here
you bone come here come here come here
come here come here here come here come
here
bone there we go
all right no h that's
not okay so feels like it needs to be
but I need to swing my body
like no I think I got to go up and over
just feels
right
no so going up and over is
dumb so why can't I do it there why
can't I do it just fine there
y
okay it's
helping
yeah okay so if I can Master the kind of
leap y nope so is it yep
nope okay yep yep yep yep that's
better
okay oh not down I'm thinking benett F
style and that's not how this
[Music]
be my hand is cramping so bad so bad I
have a controller but I don't feel like
going to it that sounds like quitters do
hold
on q& a space to pull what do you mean
pullup pullup can help reduce arm
fatigue but is not necessary to fail why
didn't I think fail or invert mouse that
might be
fun did that inverted I can't
tell is this better is this better
ah
oh
oh oh God pull up okay hold
on oh my
God okay so that at
least okay me inverting the mouse is now
breaking my brain because I don't even
remember what I was supposed to do this
doesn't feel any different how is this
is this
different it's it's not it's not
different but it doesn't did it what but
it doesn't do it doesn't do nothing I
don't know it's it's it's not doing
nothing oh my
God oh my God you know what I don't I
don't like that I don't like that I'm
not going to do that I don't like that
I'm not going to do
that
okay there we go doing it by hand is
probably I don't know what I'm
doing okay I don't like the pullup
mechanic it is kind of
[Music]
helpful okay we're
fine
okay okay
nice okay tactically using it one at a
time is not
[Music]
bad oh oh oh oh
climbing oh we be climbing
now
okay that was actually really nice I
just held down the space bar and it kind
of helped me get to where where I needed
to go
sh
[Music]
whoa okay oh my God oh my God okay so I
still haven't solved the puzzle of this
this is quite a puzzle unless I don't
need to be low and what I actually need
is to not be low you know what I mean
like maybe this is the truest oh Mike
what are you doing what are you doing
what are you doing stop maybe this is
the truest answer of all it's like the
real answers that I I don't need to be
low at all and it's more of a swing
swong it's a swing SW
no well this just looks dumb what are
you doing how is
this
yipp
yippy freaking yippy climb damn
it come on come on oh come on what are
you doing man what are you doing what
are you doing to me man no no what are
you doing to me man what are you doing
to me man what are you doing to me
man okay there we
go
[Music]
no what's over
[Music]
here
okay we're back
here again so what have we
learned nothing we' learned actually
quite quite literally nothing but I do
think that this place is kind of
supposed to feel wide because there's
this
idea of practice which I never do but
I'm going to do in this case so it's not
really that far it just looks bad
because it's jump so oh okay well you
fall real fast gravity's a and I
am beholden to its will but if I go up
first yeah if I go up first kind of
counteract gravity with a little bit of
swong then I I
should
theoretically make
it
there's got to be a way to get up
there it's so tantalizingly
close it's so tantalizingly
close oh it's right
there oh it's right
there you're telling me that that isn't
possible oh it's right
there
oh oh it's
tantalizing oh it's succulently
tantalizing can you please just get to
the tippy of this can you give me an
advantage and just get to there we well
not quite but just get to the tippy of
it just the tippy of it just the tippy
of it just the dippiest tippy of it
there you
go so I let go too late cuz it pulled me
back
down n whatever I'm out of
here okay that was definitely not the
right way to go about
it y okay that was good that would have
been great if I did that on the other
place you know the bad place
whoa whoa grab grab grab
grab well that was the opposite way I
wanted to go why does my brain default
to like benit f controls and why does
the inverse of it do nothing if that's
what my brain wants to
do oh
wait it just inverts the
buttons why would that be the way that
it inverts why would you make the
buttons invert and not the actual Mouse
movement in all the years of gaming
invert Mouse means the mouse move in the
other way that's what it means that's
what it always has Meed why would you
invert the button why would that help
why would that suddenly be the one
thing invert Mouse
grab I swear that did not say invert
Mouse
grab I'm I'm I'm fairly
sure I'm almost positive and I'm willing
to bet that if we go back in time and
lixian makes sure to change the past as
he is want to do you want to do that
right good good you want to change the
past go change the past hop in that time
machine and go don't worry there won't
be any
consequences don't you trust
me get in the machine all right go in
the pass and fix it all right thank you
I'm sure that won't have any other
consequences and also I'm sure he'll be
back
probably it's right there all I got to
do is kind of an uppie right that's all
I got to do it's kind of an uppy kind of
kind of an uppy you know it's got to go
a little up but not too you know being
here is fine right it's got to go up
right
uping
maybe it is a swing maybe I do need to
swing maybe I got a swing
swong maybe that is what I got to do me
try it the other way first if I swing oh
I will I I will it'll go it'll
definitely go
right yep well why would that ever be
what I needed to
do it's definitely this right oh my God
okay so that was a pretty powerful
swong I was just like kind of shoot oh
it was right
there oh man it was right
there man this is such a
climb I know that's the point I know
it's a point but it's such a climb to
get back
oh God oh my God okay
fine
okay maybe I should be a little closer I
should be right here seems like the
optimal
right
oh my
god
oh oh wait a minute wait wait a minute
this does this wait a minute how wait a
minute wait a minute hold on a second
wait do I go down is it is it is it a
down is it down oh my God is it down oh
my god oh this is
scary oh my God okay oh my God come on
oh oh I slipped off the other side but
I'm up here the peak really I win I knew
it I'm the greatest climber that ever
climed that ever
climed oh yes oh yes
[Music]
oh ah oh ah
[Music]
hey would you look at that is an
oasis
